Vintage Utility Telephone Pole Tree Lineman's Climbing Spikes Gaffs
These spikes are very old and well used. I would think the leather might need to be replaced if you really were going to climb anything and feel safe. They look to be adjustable and the spikes are quite sharp. Just can't imagine using these! Guess it could be fun.

Vintage Telephone Lineman Bashlin Leather Pole Climbing Belt Holster Up for auction is a Vintage Telephone Lineman Bashlin Leather Pole Climbing Belt Holster. This came from a family estate auction. This is the personal Belt belonging to the husband and was given to him when he retired from the telephone company. It was stored in the attic of his home. It shows some cracks in the leather. Rust here and there and some oxidizing from condensation. It is marked Bashlin and Grove City, PA. It is 36" when measuring the inside circumference of the Belt around to the 4th notch. The waist is a thick rigid leather. It has two thick metal hooks. A side pouch and a leather strap with a metal hanger. The Belt is structurally sound and is not broken, ripped or torn. Up for auction is a vintage heavy duty linemen's belt for climbing poles. It has a secondary belt riveted to it with places for tools in the back. On the right side it has a leather attachment for tools and on the left side is a canvas bag. It comes with the clip on belt for wrapping around the pole. There are also clips and metal rings on the belt. It needs a good cleaning.

Bell Telephone Systems C.1930-40's Pole or Tree Climbing Safety Harness- Buhrke
You are bidding on a very old Bell Telephone Systems pole or tree climbing safety harness leather belt& straps that I believe are circa 1930-1940's vintage. There is a brass tag on the belt that reads"Bell System 10.66 Size 24. B Belt 4" Mfg R.H. Buhrke" All of the metal rings and straps appear to be original. I did wipe them off but they have a slight musty odor. This is a great collectible for the telephone or utilities collector. I am not an expert in this area so I will describe the piece as best I can. This auction is for a Miller Equipment Co. Franklin Pa. Serial#169 Code#124N belt/harness/rope. The tag and manufacture info is attached to the yellow belt and is visible in the pictures.
