VINTAGE 1951 BUCKINGHAM LEATHER LINEMAN'S CLIMBING BELT & 6" SAFETY STRAP
This is a vintage 1951 Buckingham lineman pole climbing belt& safety strap. The safety strap is about 2" wide& 6' long& stamped 7-51. The brass rivets have some green on them. The belt is about 4" wide at the back with 3 leather loops& 1 brass square loop& stamped 10-51. The pouch has 3 tool pockets but is a little on the dry side, also on the belt is a tape holder& a thin leather strip with a adjustable loop on the end. It measures about 40" fron the outside edge of the buckle to the last hole on the tongue with 7 more hole going in to about 33" The leather seems good& not dried out but could use a good saddle soaping. This came from an estate sale.

Some of the stitchings are separating(see last photos) and the leather is old however it appears to have been maintained with oil/dressing. It is marked"Buckingham" but no model number found. The size appears to be large/extra large in size. I wear a 38" inch waist and the belt fits me with 7 holes remaining for larger adjustment. The only ID I could find was the name Buckingham on the buckles and the number 44 on the outside of back band. Shows average wear but not worn out. There are multiple tool holders- it looks like the flap is missing to a pouch. The overall length of the leather belt is 55" the lanyard as shown is 52" from end to end of hooks. There is about 30" of that which is looped with holes for adjustment. I don't know much about these so if you need more info please ask.
