Vintage Utility Telephone Pole Tree Lineman's Climbing Spikes Gaffs
These spikes are very old and well used. I would think the leather might need to be replaced if you really were going to climb anything and feel safe. They look to be adjustable and the spikes are quite sharp. Just can't imagine using these! Guess it could be fun.

Buckingham model 910. Decent used condition. Worst of it is boot strap show wear. But still structurally sound. See picts Climber set 2. No name that I can see. Everything looks there. Definately the more used of the two pairs. Comes with gaff protective covers. Looks like one rivet popped out and was repaired. Harness: E24 Right 1291 Buckingham. See Tag pict No tears rips or repairs that I can see. Slight rust on some rivets. Overall decent used shape. Seems like Size 34 Waist to 40. Strap: 5 foot long. Minor rust and dirt. Thanks for viewing our auction. This auction is for a great lot of all Klein Climbing/Lineman equipment. Winner will receive everything shown in the photos. All the equipment appears to be in real nice condition. The Klein rivets have great patina. The spikes are Klein 8210 L& R. One of the spike sets is missing the strap the runs through the lower spike. The heavy duty belt is 47 inches long. Every piece is marked"Klein" either on the rivets. Linesman's Pole/Tree climbing equipment. It has had a lot of use. But is very heavy duty and has lots of life left. The wide padded belt has a Stringer name plate and a date of 1/77. The size I believe adjusts out to a 42/44. I am a 36/38 and there are four holes remaining. Belt has a leather pliers pouch attached and four attached leather loops for tools/equipment. Also there are four removable leather loops which snap to small metal rings on the belt. The lanyard is Buckingham and a date of 1988. Adjusts from 4 to 6-1/2 feet. Full set of lineman's climbing gear in a heavy duty locking shipping case. All top of the line gear. Bashlin gaffs. Klein model 5278N23 belt in a size 38-46, Bashlin strap, Klein adjustable hard hat, Klein model 5142 tool bag, Kunz 4.5" gauntlet gloves in a size large. It all was always packed and carried around in a heavy duty case and all of it is lightly used. The case is the most worn but that is to be expected. I was much more of a bucket truck technician(CATV, 31 years so far) but there are always times when you have to climb to get to some equipment. Bad sidecar accident has ended my days of climbing. There's a lot of years left in this gear.

Group Lineman Pole Tree Climbers Bashlin Safety Belt Pr. Buckingham Gaffs + More
For your consideration is this group of lineman pole or tree climbing equipment. It consists of a Bashlin safety belt. A pair of Buckingham gaffs and 3 other safety harness belt, rope items. The belt is a size D-20, no. 1511-N, Code 6-07. It measures about 47" long overall including the buckle. I'm a 34" waist and it fits me fine over clothing but I sense that it might not fit a big guy. The Buckingham gaffs are model 910 L& R. The 3 other pieces are a leather safety harness with hooks that was fastened to the belt, another harness apparatus with hooks and a polyester rope harness. Sorry I don't know all the correct terminology. The belt and the gaffs are very nice and show evidence of very little use. The leather safety harness shows some wear and age as does the polyester rope piece. The other harness piece shows minor ... morewear from some use but otherwise nice. A complete group of one man's climbing equipment being offered estate fresh without reserve so help yourself. Please see my other listings for cable cutters and pole platforms from the same estate.
