The pin It includes the six pens in the picture and the ... moremanual. I noticed that when the pen is pressed down during calibration. The pin sometimes gets a little"sticky" and pops back up after a couple of seconds. A couple of times I had to grab the pin with my fingernails and pull it up. I've inspected inside the case and don't see a cause other than the device has been sitting for some time and the pin may need a little lubricant to slide more easily. I'll leave that to the experts. One more thing. I have no way to actually check the calibration on these pens so I have not idea if they read radiation correctly or not. I'm not fooling around with radiation anytime soon if I can help it. Otherwise, they all appear to function correctly and can be adjusted smoothly using the scale dial on the charger.

It comes with a probe and an HP 82143A Printer(untested) But without any cords or charger. The Brookhaven Survey Assay Meter was developed by scientists at Brookhaven National Labs and Los Alamos National Labs. to supplant the Stabilized Assay Meter(SAM-II) It is in good cosmetic condition. With some scuffs, scratches or magic marker traces. It powered up when connected to a bench power supply but we are unable to test it further as we do not have the cords to connect the probe to the meter. Because we can not fully test it. It's sold as-is, though as a surplus item from a government laboratory, there's a good chance that it may work fine, or be repairable. This is the only one on ebay- don't let it get away!

This passive tool requires no batteries. It is designed as a pinhole camera. But with its output on a phosphor screen so as to glow with the image of the collimation blades positions relative to the central ray of the xray beam. it is intended for professional use and is not for a hobbiest. a good understanding of xray imaging allignment requirements is needed for this to be useful. It has no damage and is fully functional. There is no carrying case or temporary mounting screws included. However, there are two different sized threaded hole scheems for 8-32 and 10-24(maybe 10-32? screws that need to be provided. It is a model 4000+, will NOT due mammo units.Included is 2.3mm type 1100 Aluminum standard absorber. My guess is that it is over ten years old. S/N is 807. It was equipped with an internal NICAD battery that has been removed. It has a'wallwart' style AC adapter and functioned well with that. The carrying case is lightly padded with two side pouches. Eberline Geiger Counter with DT-53B/PDR-27 window probe (a working unit)
This working Geiger Counter is a hobbyist assembled combination of an Eberline 3212679 laboratory grade instrument and an ex-military"RADIAC DETECTOR DT-53B/PDR-27" probe. The meter has four ranges of scaling and an earphone BNC connector is on the front panel. All scales. High voltage and threashold sensitivity are independently adjustable. The probe has a manually shiftable window cover which clips to the probe body in both open and closed positions. This is an uncalibrated meter. It will run for a very long time on 5"D" size flashlight cells. Photos two shows the background reading and photo three is the indication from a pair of radioactive lantern mantles. A very slight adjustment of the high voltage can be made. If more sensitivity is needed. The probe cable is about 55 inches long. And permenently attached inside ... morethe unit. This makes battery changing less convenient, but otherwise seems to work OK. I cannot provide any assurance that this unit is fit for a specific use, only that it appears to be in working order.
