But that is more of a good omen than a statement of fact. They take a 9 volt battery and remind me of a smoke detector. You push the button to“test” and it beeps at you. If you aren’t pushing the button and the battery is good the LED will flash like once every 40 seconds or something like that. So in that respect they test good. I am offering this used Electromagnetic Radiation Monitor from Ames research center NASA. I was told it worked. However have no way of testing it, so it is being offered as-is. It includes a NASA receipt of calibration in 1992. It includes two 8120a probes and a 23384 probe, that has a different 8 pin round connector, I don't know how it attaches and two antenna cones. NARDA 8716 ELECTROMAGNETIC MONITOR METER AND CASE
Very nice condition. It has been in storage for about 2 years and the batteries still had a charge. I’m buying a new meter since this one is a bit dated for professional use and the probes evaporated. The sticker on the back says NARDA calibrated it in 1996– although I don’t see the sticker it the calibration was recertified about 2006 or 2007– regardless it is out of date and the probes are missing. We charged the batteries but they may need replacing. The battery reading was when it came from storage. It was charged a week ago and now shows about 80% I went to use this for a consulting job only to find the probes missing. When I asked who used it last I was told“Not Me” by everyone– so if you see Not Me ask him to call me. The probes can often be found alone on eBay for a very reasonable price. Keys are in the case– the manual(unopened) ... moreand the strap is in the case along with a power cord. The case is in very good looking condition. Shipping within the US48 is $22 and will be by FedEx Ground. I would prefer not to sell this internationally because of the weight. but for those who insist International sales are OK provided that international buyers agree that INTERNATIONAL SALES ARE AS-IS AND FINAL due to the cost of shipping and international shipping costs are not refundable– any international bid agrees to these terms. Narda Model 8616 EM Radiation Monitor, Probes, Manuals, Complete Set
This is a very nice Narda Electro-magnetic Radiation Monitoring Kit. The meter unit is a model 8616. Built and hand inspected in 1995. Kit includes the 8621D probe, 8631 Probe, AC lead to power the unit and/or recharge batteries. Also included the operation and maintenance manual and a slide calculator radiation levels. All in a foam padded case that fits the equipment. The case has a cracked corner, but doesn't affect the protection of the equipment. I don't know much about this stuff, but plugged the meter and probes in and was able to get readings and the test function seemed to work- see pics. ask all questions before bidding.
