Eberline E-530 Geiger Muller Counter Radiation Detector Survey Meter & BNC Cable
You are bidding on an Eberline Model E-520 Geiger Muller Counter Meter used for radiation detection and surveying. It is to be used with GM probes such as an end window. Side window, or pancake style probe. Included is the BNC connector for attaching a probe. The E-530 does not make any"clicking" sounds when operating. Unless you add a speaker like the Eberline SK-1 that I have listed in a separate auction. This unit has 2 small holes drilled in the side for mounting an SK-1 speaker. This unit has a clip on top of the handle to clasp a pancake or side window probe. This unit is in good working condition. I purchased it from the estate of a Medical Physics Consultant and State Inspector in a lot with detector probes. Speaker, cables, and this unit. I have tested the Geiger Counter with an Eberline HP-210 lead housed pancake probe ... moreand another aluminum housed probe. Both gave readings. There is also a battery test mode(as displayed in the pictures. As you can see, the GM's needle moved and held position in the"Batt OK" position like it should. The probe may not be the original since it has a BNC Male connector on the cable end and the connector should be a HV type BNC connector so it fits but does not latch. This Geiger counter does work as shown by it’s reaction when the probe is held near an ancient military radio that has(Radioactive) radium paint markings on the panel meter(The Ancient Military radio is NOT INCLUDED in this auction) The RM14S Radiation Monitor is in very good overall physical condition and its rechargeable battery does appear to hold a charge. The RM14S operates either on its internal rechargeable battery or standard 120VAC AC line power. The Instrument(W/ Probe) Calibration/ Accuracy and overall battery condition are unknown and the description is a“Best Effort” ... moreso: BID ACCORDINGLY.
