The outer case and chrome are in excellent shape, with only a couple of minor scratches on the case bottom. The meter face has a couple of minor scratches which you can barely see. You are bidding on a used Bicron NaI scintillation probe. Model 1M1/1.5. The probe is in very good condition with a few minor scratches. Also included are two bases with dynode strings. The first(chrome plated) is a Bicron model P-12. It has a seven(7) megohm dynode string with a High Voltage BNC connection; requires a positive high voltage, and a signal out BNC connection. Signal output is a negative going pulse that will work with Theremino and PRA software for gamma spec use. The second base assembly is custom made and consists of the socket and an approximate 100 megohm dynode string. With a BNC connector, great for connecting to most any Geiger counter. The second photo shows the probe connected to my GSM-110 Geiger counter reading 30,000 CPM, at two feet, from ME! I get 5000 CPM with a GM tube on the same meter, so this is a very sensitive ... moreprobe. Had a nuclear stress test yesterday morning and the Technetium-99 isotope is still fairly hot. You will see that the positioning pin on the back of the PMT is broken off and some of the pins are a bit bent. There is a dent on one side of the P-14 connector. Bicron scintillator crystal radiation detector scintillation 1X1"
Nice 1x1" plastic scintillation crystal pulled from a working Bicron MicroRem scintillator. I repurposed the PMT and housing and don't need it for any of my other projects. Scintillates Gamma X-ray down to 17 KEV with a thin window and 40 KEV with the standard window aluminum about the thickness of a soda can. I believe the scintillator may be one of the few that can be tissue equivalent calibrated due to the scintillator crystal that was used in it. It has the white highly reflective paint coating and soft foam pads to keep it centered on the 1" photomultiplier tube face it was optical silicone grease coupled. Weight including foam pads is 14 Grams.

Eberline Gas Flow Proportional Detector, Ludlum, Bicron, Alpha, Beta Monitoring
These are gas flow proportional counters that were orignially in Eberline PCM1B portal monitors. They use P-10 gas as a detection medium and are used to measure alpha and beta contamination at nuclear stations and other facilities that use radioactive materials. They can be independently used. Or placed in an array. Any detector that has adjustable HV and a threshold adjustment can be used to drive these detectors. They have an active area that is 6"X16" 90 in^2 or 619 cm^2. Each is fully warranteed to be operable to the original Eberline specification. These would be great as floor monitor probes or for anyone looking to assess contamination. Note that I am leaving the gas connectors on these. All you have to do is hook up your own hoses.
