Frank H. Clements 12" Jointer Planer Woodworking Cabinetmaking Machinery Solid
You are bidding on a 12" jointer made by the Frank H. Clements Co. out of New York around the turn of the century. It's called a Three Toed Jointer because of the three legs. This machine is solid and works well. There is no play and the tables go up and down freely. The infeed table is 4' long and the outfeed is 3' long They are 17" wide and the tables are 33 1/2" high. It has a 12" wide 4 cutter head that makes for a nice edge. It now has a 3 HP. 3 Phase 440, 60 cycle motor. 7800RPM. The belt is 3 1/2" wide. This is not wired up right now, but it ran fine when in service. This unit is solid and it's very heavy. The buyer will need slings, winch or what ever it takes to load it out. Vintage Stanley Bailey NO 5 Woodworking CARPENTRY Plane PLANER
I'm offering a Vintage Stanley/Bailey No. 5 Planer. This was left behind in an estate. I'm not qualified to use it or check it out so you must look at the pictures and make your own decision as there are no returns. It looks good and solid. The blade on the bottom feels sharp. The dimensions of the bottom piece is 13 1/2" x 2 1/2" The two handles are made of a kind of hard dark wood. There's a little white mark on the bigger handle, it looks like paint. There's a small chip out of the top part of the larger handle, very small. Look at the pictures, the very bottom piece of metal is ridged, very cool. All parts of the unit are tightly connected/screwed together. Free S&H to domestic buyer.
