THESE WERE INCLUDED WITH THE BANDSAW WHEN I BOUGHT IT AND I HAVE NO USE FOR THEM. THEY HAVE OBVIOUSLY BEEN USED BUT THE BEARINGS STILL SPIN FREELY AND ARE COMPLETE. Rockwell- Delta- Crescent 20" Bandsaw- Model 28-350 Made in USA c. 1950's Approx. weight: 500 lbs(just a guess) A classic. Rockwell set the standard with this one. 20" bandsaw. Model 28-350 Delta 1 3/4 HP. 3 phase. Dual voltage. 220V/ 440V. Currently set up 220(plug end is NOT included) This bad boy has been in my shop for years. Purchased from a tool broker in Aberdeen. NC, in 2005. Clean for it's age. Used regularly. All original with the exception of the Carter guides and magnetic starter. Guides installed'new' just after our purchase. Both upper& lower.the originals were beat. Factory blade guard included but not installed. As modifications would be required to attach to upper guide. Other features: Cutler-Hammer magnetic manual starter with correct heater coils. Tilting table-dust port-large stable. Footprint-Foot ... morebrake There is no fence or mitre gauge included. Throat plate is a modern repro.Originals are hard to find. Blade is a TimberWolf 3 TPI resaw in excellent condition. Another blade included.but nothing special. We are currently re-organizing our shop& have another saw to replace this one.so time to let'er go. I would recommend a thorough servicing. Machine does not require much in the way of maintenance. We blast the sawdust out& keep the tires clean not much else to do. Foot brake could use tensioning(we don't use it) We have a copy of original manual& exploded parts schematic. The tires are showing their age(as pictured) but still supple enough to run well. The only issue we have noted is over the past few months. Upper bearing(s) are chirping. Probably time for bearing replacement. Unsure of manufacture date. ID plate reads'622 B' Unable to match this up with Serial#s available to us for age determination. Model# not displayed on machine. No reserve on this auction. I have listed a set of Carter Guideall 400 bandsaw guides that came off a Yates Y30 bandsaw. When removed. These were funtional, but show signs of use and some noise. Obsessive types may want to go thourgh and rebild everything; if you just want to get your own saw running and make sawdust, these are complete and currently work, but there is some noise. The new price on these is over $650 from Carter; chances are you will get them for MUCH less. They can be seen on a working saw with an appointment. 3/4" mounting posts and right angle bend in photos not included as they are needed for the saw. Ask a lot of questions. Set of Vertical Band Saw Horizontal Bandsaw Blade Guides Cast Iron USA Made
These blade guides are off an antique Cresent vertical band saw I bought years ago. I used the frame of the saw for a bead roller project and the wheels. Blade guides and table ended up as extra parts. I put everything in storage thinking I would use them on another project, but that was years ago and they need to go. The mounting shaft on one of the guides is 5/8 diameter and about 5 inches long and the other guide uses a slotted bracket about 5 inches long for a ½ bolt. The wheels on both guides are about 2 ¼ inches in diameter and both look to be adjustable for 1/8” 1” width blades. I’m not sure how they adjust for thickness unless the screws are the cam type. I also have the wheels listed in other auctions if you need those parts and the cast iron table is also available too. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding! These are large guides for large bandsaws. Paddock Tool Company is still in business manufacturing these guides and parts are available. Specs on these guides can be found on their website. This set of guides appears to have been modified and is missing a few of the original parts. I tried posting a stock photo but couldn't. I can e-mail it so you can see the original parts) The guides worked well but are much too big for my saw.
