Exemplary Federal Dresser--Cherry & Flame Mahogany Veneer
This is a really wonderful piece-solid cherry on top and sides. With flame mahogany veneer on the drawers, thick brass circular hardware(typifying the Federal period) and really great carvings at the bottom, finishing off with scrolled feet. There is minor nicking to the veneer. Other than that, it is in amazing condition. The drawers are smooth and the wood is beautiful. Looks like it was refinished a while back. Very, very heavy, which makes sense because it is made of two heavy hardwoods. Lots of color and a beautiful patina. 43" tall x 21 3/4" deep x 42 3/4" wide. Exterior veneer woods appear to be maple and rosewood. Interior lined with what appears to be cedar and has adjustable compartment slats. Hardware is possibly brass. Overall condition is fair. Interior is in very good condition. Felt liner on the bottom is worn and somewhat loose. Exterior has some loss of veneer on front. Top, and back corners, residue on top, scratches and dings on all sides. Hardware throughout is heavily tarnished and has lost its its plating. Overall, the shells are in very good shape, less than perfect only in that there are a couple of fingernail size depressions, not though the veneer thickness) in the veneers. The 10x14 tom does have a couple of small dings in the lower flanged hoop, which have distorted the shape slightly, the hoop is still functional ... morewith the plating intact with the exception of a 1/8" diameter area where the original chrome plating didn't adhere to a weld area) again, original manufacturing defect? The Champion shells are thinner than the later Phonics series and lack the rosewood inner veneers, hence sounding a bit less ringing and lower fundamental tone, in my opinion, more musical and studio friendly) than the Phonics series. Antique walnut burl veneer box with abalone shell inlay.abalone escutcheon around the key hole. there is no key one was not provided when I purchased it ~8 years ago. also abalone escutcheon on the lid of this very striking and handsome box.there is only one small"old" split crack at the left facing corner.of the lid. this box was previously paper lined when I bought it. the box measures overall 11.75 wide by 8.75 deep. 5" height. this box has an inner tray that is 1" deep. the storage area under the tray is 3" deep by 8 by 10. The hinges are in great condition. This box has been cherished and admired for these 8 years. The bottom of the box was left as acquired with burlap attached. you can see the bottom composition from the supplied photos. A wonderful addition to any collection. and certainly a handsome well made ... morebox. I think it is a Georgian made box. This Box will only grow in value. handmade wooden boxes are becoming harder to find. and this one is certainly in great condition for its age.

2 antique interior doors/very restorable/no hardware/birch veneer
You are bidding on both doors. The following are the sizes. 31 3/4" x 79" and 27 3/4" x 79 1/4" These appear to have one coat of varnish so they would be easily restorable or use them the way they are. They don't have any hardware but the cutouts for the hinges and locksets are there. They look to be birch wood. They are local pickup in central Wisconsin but I will hold them for as long as you like once they are paid for.

This is for a beautiful antique Hitchcock style chair with burled veneer and cane seat that I am offering for my neighbor. There is some old wear to the veneer on the back splat as shown in one of the pics and also an old characterized repair that the neighbor never noticed until I pointed it out to her. But is otherwise just fine and very sturdy. Chair measures 18 inches to the top of the seat and I will have to add other measurements later. The label contains some dark areas but the lettering is all still readable. It is protected by some plastic wrap attached to the edge. Everything appears original to the clock including the bezel. Dial, hands and seconds bit. The key is old and may be original- it came with the clock when I purchased it. The strike and time mainsprings and the balance wheel hairspring are all in good condition. The strike side works fine, the time side however does not and will need service. It will run for a few beats and then stop. There is a small brass button on the side(see photos) This button is attached to a wire which allows one to trip the strike mechanism from outside the clock by pulling on the button. This is original and a nice feature of these clocks. The case appears to have been refinished recently. There are several small pieces of veneer missing. This does little to distract from the appearance of the case. Note that it is not uncommon with marine clocks to see many large pieces of veneer missing. A nice decorative addition to anyone's home. Greetings. Up for auction is a Slingerland 1970's 16" X 16" Floor Tom. Drum is a 3 ply with maple interior and solid maple ree-rings, black and silver badge. Comes with 1 used remo clear bottom head with plenty if life left in it and a new remo coated top head. All parts work as designed and have the usual vintage slight pitting. The drum is a ree-wrap and professionally installed with a walnut veneer. Please note there was no loss what so ever to outer ply when original wrap was removed. Very nice vintage drum, edges are original. Sold as is, Pay-Pal Payment only, I use USPS and will provide tracking and insurance. Lovely Vintage Wood Effect Bird Biscuit Tin 1920s/30s Wooden Look Inlaid Veneer
You are invited to bid on this lovely vintage biscuit tin. Dating to approximately the 1920s/30s. It is decorated to look like wood. With an attractive grained effect, lighter coloured panels round the sides, and inlaid black stringing. The front is'inlaid' with and image of a bird sitting on a bamboo shaft, and the lid is'inlaid' with prunus blossoms. It has a distinctly oriental feel. The lid is hinged. The tin measures 5.75" long. By almost 4.5" wide, by 4.75" deep. It bears no maker's details, but I think it was made in Britain. The tin is in fair condition for its age with some scuffing/scratching. There is a little oxidisation and slight rusting to the inside. The hinges are in good order. Beautiful and unique mantel clock. Real wood veneer finish over solid wood. Base is solid wood. And completely covered with felt on the bottom. The all over finish is very nice. There are 2 little nicks on the front left at the bottom. Not real noticeable and adds to the character of this one of a kind piece. I don't know the history of this clock but I got it on eBay about 10 years ago, and it looks to me like it was very carefully handmade. 10.5" high and 8" wide. 3" front to back. Works great. Welch Marine Clock measuring 3.25" deep by 10.5" from side to side and top to bottom. 30 hour brass movement with lever escapement is housed in an octagonal case covered on the outside with Brazilian Rosewood veneer. Counts the hours on a cast metal bell. The label is nearly complete and reads in part: Thirty Hour Marines E. N. Welch. Forestville, Conn. U.S.A. Patented. Dec. 11th, 18_ The label is worn but the lettering is mostly still all readable. It is protected by some plastic wrap attached to the edge. A large building is pictured at the top of the label. The last 2 numbers of the year were missing so I went and scanned the patents in a book titled: United States Clock and Watch Patents 1790- 1890 by George Eckhardt(publ. 1960) until I came across a Dec. 11th patent that made sense based on this style of clock. Design patent#746 issued to Jonathan C. Brown of Bristol. Conn. on Dec. 11th, 1855 is definitely the patent referred to on the label as it covers the octagonal shape and form found in early marine clocks. The last photograph displays the figure from that patent. The entire patent can be viewed on the USPTO website by searching patent number D0000746. E. N. Welch was actually a partner in J. C. Brown's Forestville Manufacturing Co. between 1841 and 1845. He absorbed this company(among others) in 1855 and became the E. N. Welch Manufacturing Co. in 1864. Since the label only says E. N. Welch I am assuming this clock was made before 1864. Everything appears original to the clock including the bezel, dial, hands and seconds bit. Antique French Or Swiss Burl Veneer Music Box Two Airs Tunes Songs
Here is an antique. Two-tune, burl veneer, music box. This is a European box; but I'm not sure if it was made in France or Switzerland. There are no markings on the works; but it looks like other French boxes I have had. The tunes start when the lid is lifted. The lid has a wire which is connected to a lever in the box. I had the box apart to reconnect the wire; but I forgot to photograph the works. I know that it has at least 30 teeth in the comb. The box works well. It measures about 4&3/4" long, 3&11/16" wide, and 2&7/8" high. Name of the tunes is printed on a label on the bottom. There is a brass plate set into the top of the box. I assume it was intended for a monogram; but there is no monogram. Shipping is $10 within the continental USA.

Antique Empire Dresser, mahogany, mirror veneer, 19th century, good condition
An Empire Bureau. Or chest of drawers made of mahogany in the early half of the 19th century. This is a grand piece of furniture that would look great in any large space-hallway, large master bedroom, dining room. We had it in our hallway in a 1803 house in upstate New York. There are four large drawers and three small drawers at the top. The largest drawer is directly below the three small top drawers, consistent with the style. Drawer fronts are a mirror veneer, rest of the wood is solid. The drawer pulls are brass. This is a solid, well-built dresser. It is heavy. It stands about 52 inches high, is about 47 inches wide and about 21 inches deep. The drawers are about 16 inches deep. The finish is in relatively good condition; there are scrapes, scuffs, nicks and scratches but it would not necessarily need to be refinished. There is a crack ... morein the wood on one of the sides(visible in photo) The drawer slides could use some repair work, but the drawers function. I believe that the dresser is from the early half of the 19th century because the nails used on the back boards are type I cut(photographed) The back boards are soft wood with a rich brown patina on the back, the part exposed to air. I do not have the key to the door, there are some scuffs and small chips, the back has been replaced at some point and there have been repairs made on bottom, nevertheless a beautiful antique wardrobe. This is a vintage print block for a business in Washington. It is 5 1/2" wide by 7" long and it is about 1" thick. Metal on wood block. Wow. This is a good one. Tiger maple Empire chest in ALL SOLID WOOD, no veneers. Seven drawers, good feet, chimneys. original pulls. The surface is an old refinish, well done, with a few marks on the top(see pics) but overall a stunning piece. It's big, too, at 57" high. Necessary repairs to some drawer runners and all drawers work fine. Measures 57" high. 44" wide, and 21" deep. Shipping to most areas is available thru TSC Moving. A six(6) piece Antique bedroom set build from solid wood with an oak veneer. There are two twin beds(shown in the picture combined into a king sized bed) The beds 77" long. 33" high at the footboard, 56" high at the headboard, 40" wide. There is one wardrobe cabinet is 77" high. 62" wide, 22" deep. There are two night stands that are 53" high. 16.5" wide, 13" deep, at 31" high the nightstands have marble tops. There is one dresser that iis 43" wide. 31" high, and 22" deep. All the furniture is in excellent condition. Most of the pieces break down for ease of transporting.

ANDREW SZOEKE RARE VENEER INLAID CHAIR BACK ART DECO PORTRAIT RESCUED FROM FIRE
This was originally the back to a chair that burned while in Andrew Szoeke's possession. Unfortunately I do not have any information on the fire but I do have some pics of the complete chair before the back was removed if interested. The rest of the chair was beyond salvage. T his inlaid back was covered in burnt finish which I lightly sanded off down to the veneer. There are a few pieces of veneer that have chipped off including one on the side of the women's hair. One on the neck of the guitar and hand holding it, and a few other very small ones. There are some small surface scratches from the sanding that could easily be removed with a finer grit- which I would suggest before finishing. I'm not an expert with finishes so I did not try to put a varnish on it but obviously it will look much better and the details will really ... morepop with fresh finished. I left the burnt wood from the chair back around it but that could easily be removed if desired. SEE PICS. I acquired this piece from the Merril Auction Company at a recent auction of Andrew Szoeke's son's estate which contained many never before seen works by Szoeke including this chair back. The subject is a female guitar player surrounded by tropical plants. There are many woods used in the various veneers including burl wood. I wet the surface with water in some of the pics to give a little more of a feel for what it might look like with a finish on it but obviously it doesn't do it justice.
