Local pick up only. A beautiful set. Mahogany or mahogany veneer. I'm not sure which. Dresser. Bed, vanity and stool. The dresser measures 37" x 44" high. The bed measures 56" wide and 74" long. The vanity measures 38" x 30" high, with an additional 41 1/2" mirror. The stool measures 15" deep, 21 1/2" wide and 19" high. Surface scratches, little gouges, scuffing consistent with age. MINIATURE American Empire Mahogany Veneer Chest Drawers Salesman Sample 19th C
This is a charming 19 th century flame mahogany veneered miniature American Empire chest of drawers. It measures 12 ¼” wide x 7” deep x 12” tall. It has tiny inlaid wood patterns at the top of each side to replicate carved wood. It even has a small brass lock that appears to be a working lock. Though there’s no key to test it. I imagine this miniature chest was built as a salesman’s sample or an apprentice piece. Please see all photos to get a full sense of the condition of this chest. The finish on the right side is crackling and rough and has splits in wood. There’s a split around a knot of the left side of the chest. The top has a thin split and a knot in the wood. There are splits in the inner drawers and some wood loss on the back of the chest. Despite it all. Beautifully crafted extension table by Henredon. Solid pecan with walnut veneer table top. Can be used in many different ways. As a game table or a dining table. Manufactured between 1965-1981. Item# 20-5103. Will seat 4 or 8 at its full length. The legs and sides of the table have faux bamboo detailing. The surface of this table has a lovely patina to it. Table could use some restoration because there are scratches and nicks on surface and sides. This is a great find well worth minimal restoring if you choose to do so. This is a large oval wrought iron(or wrought iron looking) mirror. Plus a sofa table with scrolly legs and walnut veneer top. Pieces did not come together originally, I refinished them to match each other. Table approximately 4' X 1.5' Mirror approximately 4' long and 2' high. It's hard to get a sense of the color because I was getting reflection off the table top. But the wood is a darkish brown. The second photo is probably closest. Measuring about 3½" x 6" Including the wood veneer frame, this colorful print of an angel playing a lute or violin has a gold background and is captioned"Laudate Dominum! The arched matte looks to be made of real wood veneer, but it's hard to be 100 percent sure- it looks like there was a slight miscut at the very top of the arch. On its back, the kraft paper is mostly missing, but it still has a framer's label that gives an order number and identifies the artist as Italian Renaissance painter Fra Angelico. It also says"The H. L. Co. Indianapolis" but it's unclear whether that's the name of the framer or just the publisher of the label. The frame has small chips in the veneer at all four corners. No Reserve, Free Shipping This is a gorgeous antique letter box crafted in the 19th century. The handsome design of the rosewood veneer box features ornate brass corner accents framing a delicate pietra dura floral lily mosaic inlay. The lid lifts to reveal a multi-compartment interior with a blue satin lined lid. There is a brass label inside on the interior marked as Piper Exeter. In overall very good condition with losses to the veneer on the lid sides and corners as pictured. There is a crack to the veneer on the front of the lid leading to the loss on the side. There is some wear to the finish on the brass elements. The lid does not close and clasp completely with a small gap remaining. The fabric on the inside of the lid ... moreis a bit stained and some of the letter box dividers are out of place. There is a minute loss to the bottom of the stem on the inlay. The key is lost to the ages. This condition is consistent with age and use. Measures 7 1/2" to the top of the back of the box and 5 5/8" in the front. 5 3/4" wide x 9 1/2" long. This is a beautiful letter box and would make a fine decorative addition to your home. Sony barrel-style vintage radio TR-1829 with wood-look veneer
Very cool vintage barrel-style Sony transistor AM radio with pecan colored wood-look veneer! Model TR-1829. From the 60s.67 or'68. Was used in my family home and stored for years. It still works though there is a slight buzzing sound in addition to radio station. Perhaps someone skilled with these old radios could determine the cause of and resolve the buzzing. You can still hear the radio despite the buzzing. Some mars on outside but otherwise in good condition. Requires three AA batteries(not included) to run. Radio is 4 7/8 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches circumference.

THE HISTORY: This is a very beautiful half hull model. I do not know the production date. It depicts the 1893 America's Cup defender. The yacht Vigilant. The vessel won the America's Cup by overcoming the British challenger, Valkyrie II. Vigilant was designed by Nathanael Greene Herreshoff and built by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company of Bristol. Rhode Island. She was Herreshoff's first victorious America's Cup defender design. She was skippered by N.G. Herreshoff himself. The Vigilant was a centerboard sloop with all metal{steel and bronze} construction. She was owned by a twelve member syndicate led by Charles Oliver Iselin. Launched on June 14, 1893, Vigilant beat Colonia, ... moreJubilee, and Pilgrim to win the 1893 American selection trials for the America's Cup defense. In 1894 the Vigilant was bought by Howard Gould and became the first America's Cup defender to sail in Europe for the British yachting season. In sixteen races against Britannia. Vigilant was beaten twelve times. She raced in the defender trials for the 1895 America's Cup won by the yacht Defender. From 1896 to 1910 Vigilant had six different owners the last of whom was William Iselin who sailed her from 1906 to 1910. The Vigilant was broken up at a New London. CT, junkyard in 1910. THE MODEL: As seen in the photos. The half hull is attached to a very decorative back board proclaiming the 1893 America's Cup victory, the yacht's name, and an acknowledgement of N.G.
