The original switch plate covers were made from thin aluminum and were easily dented. Dinged, damaged, or lost. We have several styles of Delta and Delta Rockwell plates available. All are newly manufactured and better than the originals. All of these plates are made of stainless steel and have been carefully and painstakingly recreated from the dimensions of the original plates and from the original artwork. The switch plate blanks were laser cut from.030" thick 304 stainless steel before being carefully deburred and brush finished. Prior to the high quality screenprinting of the artwork. Four different Delta switch plate styles are currently offered: Item A" The black Delta UNISAW plate was used on all Delta table saws up to around 1945. When the plate was changed to include the Rockwell name. Only two pieces of this plate are left. Item B" The black Rockwell/ Delta UNISAW plate was used on all Delta table saws built after Rockwell acquired the Delta company somewhere around 1946. I believe the original part number for this Unisaw plate with the now added Rockwell name is 41687. Only three pieces of this plate are left. Item C" The black Delta Mfg. plate was used on early Delta woodworrking equipment. includung the Delta shapers, until sometime in the early 1940's. I believe the Delta part number for this black plate was 41685. Item D" The red Delta Mfg. plate was introduced around the 1941-1942 timeframe to differentiate from the black switch plate of the now very poplar Delta UNISAW. BYRD SHAPER MOULDER CARBIDE INSERT T & G CUTTER HEAD MOLDER DELTA SCMI MARTIN
One Tongue and Groove Moulder/ Shaper cutter head. The head uses replacable carbide inserts. I believe the cutter head is made by Byrd. I am currently researching this. O.D. is 6" I.D. Bore is 2-1/8" height of the cutter head is 2" and the height of the carbide insert is slightly more than 1-9/16" closer to 1-19/32" Please contact before buying if more info is needed. The cutter can also be run on a shaper using an insert to reduce down the shaft diameter. The cutter head is used but in good condition, it has a few minor scratches that can be seen in the photos. Delta 43-340 Heavy Duty Shaper
Up for winning. Delta Heavy Duty Shaper 43-340. Single phase, original repulsion-induction motor, original fence, 1/2 inch spindle. It also includes a 3/4 inch spindle and a stub spindle for coping cut, both new in box. The fence does not include the hold down bolts, but those are not difficult to obtain. The slots for the bolts are a bit dished, but a washer in place will overcome that issue. The machine has been oversprayed in a gray enamel by a previous owner, thankfully did not paint the logos or the switch. Seems like most of these are missing at least one door, but this one has both original doors. Also has the cool original switch, which is a bit valuable in and of itself. This is a early Delta Milwaukee three knife shaper cutter head. It is No. 1343 later sold as No. 43-344. It is in good condition with some tarnish and a few scratches to show for years. The arbor hole is 3/4" and is in good shape. It comes with four sets of cutters. The set in the head is set 35-104 straight 1" and is used and looks to have had some relief ground on the edges. Also includes is a set of 35-227 Flute Bead. Quarter Round, Ogee Combination in a 35-228 box, this set appears unused. The next set of cutters is marked MC-247 Door Lip(used) and the last set is MC 192 a Triple Bead and appear lightly used. Delta Rockwell Heavy Duty Shaper or Unisaw Dust Door This is used and came from a Delta Shaper. It's the dust door that is found on Unisaws and Delta Heavy Duty Shapers. It is a complete door assembly and it is the double walled door used in the 1940's and 1950's. The knob is chorme plated. The knob is loose on the shaft and needs to be pressed back on or maybe a little JB weld applied before pressing it back on to make sure it sticks. There is no damage to the knob but it has be firmly in place on the shaft for the cam-lock to work.

By the time shapers get down to a 7" stroke they usually come to resemble something other than a standard industrial machine- but not so the American Ammco. This miniature tool. Made by Delta Rockwell and sold by the Automotive Maintenance Machinery Co. 2112 Commonwealth Avenue, North Chicago, was constructed exactly along the lines of larger shapers and had five rates of reversible automatic cross feed- though the feed dial was ungraduated and there was no slide lock. The box had a horizontal travel of 9.5" a vertical travel 4.25" and could be moved to within 1.125 inches of the ram or extended ... morea maximum of 5.25 inches away. The toolholder had a maximum travel of 3.25 inches. A useful safety feature was that the box would run off its feed screw if left on self-act- because shaper work is so steady there is a terrible temptation to set, and forget… Four speeds were provided. Of 40, 70, 115 and 180 strokes per minute, from a rear-mounted motor which drove to a large pulley the supporting shaft of which passed through the rear of the body casting and carried at its other end a four-step pulley to drive the crank. Each of the two drive belts were independently adjustable for tension. The box was properly supported at its front by a bar able to slide along a machined base and a most useful looking vice. With 4" wide jaws with an open capacity of 4.25" was supplied as standard. Unfortunately, the slots in the table were not of T section, but had plain, parallel sides. In the base of each slot was a row of plain 5/16" holes- which enterprising owners were able to tap out and use to bolt workpieces and attachments in place.
