I am offering one of my prized possessions as I need to raise funds for a project. What is offered here is the highly coveted Wilderness Radio Sierra. This CW only transceiver which was design by Wayne Burdick prior to his starting the now famous Elecraft company. This transceiver is very pleasing to the ears to listen to, and a joy to operate. It operates one band at a time. And to switch bands, you snap open the side latches, pull the existing band card out of the edge connector and press the desired band module in place. This takes about 30 seconds to do. When operating your chosen band, you can QSY and operate anywhere within that band. Wilderness Radio is still in business selling mono band radios. But no longer offers this rig, but you can still get service and parts, if needed. This radio has all the options. The digital display, built ... morein keyer, buzz not noise blanker(Not installed) plus the 15, 17, 20, 30, 40 and 80 meter modules built, in addition to the 10, and 12 meter band module kits that need to be built. Yes, the original manual as well. In addition, there are a few complete back up module kits that are not built that can be either sold, or built with slight modification for use on 160M, 6M etc. This rig is very clean. Professionally assembled, and works like a dream. Output is a solid 4 watts on average, and always get great reports. Not a mark on it, and it has always been operated from my home shack. Never exposed to any tobacco smoke ever. If you are a serious QRP and CW operator. You need to add this radio to your collection. Again, the receive rivals and surpasses many of the current day rigs in terms of noise floor, sensitivity and experienced, not theoretical MDS. This is a plug and play radio. these are for collectors who are into restoring radios also these are two versions of the DR2800 which is the rf-2800/2900 sold in parts of the world other than the USA one version has a longwave band plus 3 shortwave bands from about 3.2 to 30MHz the other has 4 shortwave bands with coverage from 1.6 to 30 MHz! these are collectable sets and were in my collection before I gave up collecting several years ago and have left the hobby this year while sitting in the garage they have gotten dirty and one of the sets the volume is always too loud and the volume control doesn't change it. I think they will both be nice sets after restoration. the antennas are good and the displays are bright no straps or manuals etc any questions just ask!
