ARC-5 BROADCAST BAND RECEIVER (UNMODIFIED) VERY RARE!
You are bidding on what appears to be an unmodified ARC-5 style BROADCAST-BAND receiver(the rare one) This is the Navy black-wrinkle case version. In the front is something I've never seen after 40+ years in this hobby: some kind of factory-installed auxiliary output adapter(Stromberg-Carlson CCT-62036) The"I can't figure out how to connect to it" 7-pin connector is still present. As is the dynamotor. There's a serious ding in the dynamotor case, as you can see from the pictures. The top cover is also slightly indented at the front, as if someone set something on top of this receiver for a time. In any case, the entire upper cover is removable, so if you want you can remove it and take out the indentation. As you can also see from the pictures, some of the black wrinkle paint is also gone. It has NOT been powered up ... morein any way(not by me. In any case) so all the usual caveats apply. I figure that some collector somewhere would probably like to add this to his collection, particularly with the factory-modification auxiliary connector on the front. Sold as-is as part of an estate. I will be posting more estate material in the weeks to come(some is so heavy it's GOT to be local-pickup only)
