I BOUGHT THIS LAST SUMMER FOR A USED ALTEC WHISPER CHIPPER THAT I HAD ACQUIRED. IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO LOCATE. IF YOU NEED THIS CARBURETOR. YOU KNOW HOW SCARCE THEY ARE. TOOK ME OVER A MONTH TO FIND IT AND HAVE IT REBUILT. AFTER INSTALLING THE CARBURETOR AND ADAPTOR PLATE, I LEARNED THAT THE ENGINE WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED SO I REMOVED THIS CARB. IT DID HAVE FUEL IN IT FOR A DAY BEFORE IT WAS REMOVED. I PAID OVER $375 FOR THE CARB AND ADAPTOR. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY ENGINES IT WILL WORK ON BUT MINE WAS A FORD 300 c.i. INDUSTRIAL WITHOUT A GOVERNOR. THE NUMBERS ON THE CARB ARE DOPF 9510 J ABOVE THE NUMBERS 4528-1 1140. I TRY TO SHOW THIS IN THE PICTURES. PLEASE BE SURE THIS FITS YOUR ENGINE.

Vermeer BC625 6" Wood/Brush Chipper--NO RESERVE
I have a Vermeer 625 chipper unknown year. Will chip branches up to 6 inches. Has a 20 hp Honda motor. I have owned for just over one year and use on about 15 jobs and had absolutely 0 problems. I just upgraded and am looking to sell. The previous owner was an older gentleman and he did not use it heavily at all. It does have a little rust and wear and tear however runs and works good as it should. It starts with no problems however I use ether every once in awhile for a quicker start. I bought this machine used appx. 2 years ago. It is in very good working order. I used it till a couple of weeks ago. I am selling it because I am buying a larger one. It is powered by a gas burning Wisconsin engine. Being used it has the wear marks and slight dings that are normally associated with a used machine. I replaced the carb, and still had the same results. It's a side-draft carburetor, and I can't figure out how to prevent this situation. Anyway, I'm selling this for parts or scrap. If you decide to rebuild it, I wish you luck. If I had a place to work on it, combined with some time, I probably would, considering the cost of a running chipper. Anyway, even for scrap, I'm guessing this machine is at least 1600 pounds. It's got a Continental industrial motor in it, and parts seem to be available, but are not cheap. Chipper is sold AS IS. And new fuel pump, fuel lines and gauges, new muffler and exhaust pipes, and even a new battery box, so it would be totally reliable when we needed it. And it always starts right up. Even when it is very cold outside. It runs very smoothly. Has all the power you will ever need, and carries a nice high oil pressure even when run for long periods. And we’ve chipped branches up to 4” or 5” in diameter with ease(and it will probably chip even larger ones. But, we’ve always cut up the larger stuff for firewood, so we never had any occasion to use it on larger branches or limbs) This is the ideal piece of equipment for any contractor.
