This is a Bandit Model 250XP 12 inch brush chipper with a 100hp John Deere engine. It was purchased from us originally in 2001 by a city municipality. It was traded back to us for another Bandit Brush Chipper. It has been through our maintenance department and has no major issues. The engine oil was changed by the city every 50 hours of operation. It has new knives and a brand new clutch assembly. It starts. Runs, pulls, and chips perfectly. I have a Vermeer 625 chipper unknown year. Will chip branches up to 6 inches. Has a 20 hp Honda motor. I have owned for just over one year and use on about 15 jobs and had absolutely 0 problems. When I bought the chipper. I drained the hydraulic fluid and replaced it with Castrol Heavy Duty Anti Ware Hydraulic fluid and did an oil change. This is probably the cleanest and lowest hour 1250 out there. Everything works as it should, brakes, lights, etc. These chippers are the last of the mechanical chippers and build like a tank, no computers to worry about replacing. Industrial Wood, Tree & Brush Chipper Olathe 986 Hydraulic Feed, Ford 6cyl Gas
Early 90's hydraulic feed disk chipper. 6cyl Ford industrial gas engine. Starts right up and runs smooth and strong with good oil pressure and no leaks, I have owned the machine for about 4 yrs and have only used it for clearing my personal property. Carburetor was recently been rebuilt as well as replaced the fuel tank. Main drive belts have been replaced with an extra set included. Knives are sharp and an extra set is also included. The hour meter is in the 800s but I have no idea if it's accurate but this was originally a government owned machine so it was not used daily like a tree service would have so the hrs do sound reasonable. It will need a battery to start on it's own as I rarely use it and just jump it when needed. The tires should probably also be replaced just because of their age. They have plenty of tread and don't ... morehave any leaks. There is also no jack stand. I am located about 15 miles south of Pittsburgh Pa and it must be picked up there.
