Vintage Makinen Tackle Co. The"Holi Comet" Up for auction is a NIB Makinen"HOLI COMET" wood fishing lure. Measures 6" long from tip of chin to end of lure. These lures were made in the late 1940's, and were very popular for the bigger fish, Pike, Musky. Striper etc, in the classic red and white combo. The lure is in pretty much perfect shape, and judging by the hooks and body, has never seen water, or line, or a toothy fish! Look at the pictures for better detail. This would be a nice addition to any wooden lure collection! ALSO, read the description on the manual that came with this lure, it is a nice read, and tells of the special feature used in this one particular lure of the few they made. I bought this tripod a few years ago and it has treated me very well. Even with the Wisner stretched out for a 30" Artar this tripod was stable and solid. If you visit the Ries website you'll see that the A100-2 has the same legs but at the top end the A100 version is the closest match. Made from good solid hardwood and complete with a 6" head and tri-lock legs I rate this tripod good for any 8x20 though the site says cameras up to 25lbs are covered. Minimum height with the legs spread is about a foot though I don't advise it. Just use the the tripod with the legs spread a bit and drop the lens standard down instead. Maximum height is about 60" or so, too much ... morefor me unless I'm on a step stool, light signs of use, reversible feet. I also have a bag with a few accessory pieces that will accompany this tripod. I didn't get to use this tripod much, its actually still in need of breaking in! Here is an awesome Vintage Catalin Mah Jong Set ~ It comes with 5 racks with brass chip holders on the end and all 152 tiles: There are also 2 die and one Rotatable wind disk with window. In the window of this Bakelite piece you see a number rather than a Chinese wind character. I think that the racks are Catalin and the tiles are Bakelite. All are in EXCELLENT condition with the exception of the brass chip holders have some oxidation on them. The wooden"alligator skin" covered box is in very"competent" condition but has seen a few better days. The snaps work perfectly and it has a Lucite handle. Boy. this game is HEAVY! Original Box for Glass Magic Lantern Slides is made entirely of wood in the form of an early"candle box" with a sliding lid and an all-over paper pastedown surface. measures approx. 8 1/2" by 3" by 1 3/4" tall. Besides the all-over, paper pastedown surface there is a label on the lid that reads in part"Slides for Magic Lantern" and features the Ernst Plank Trade Mark. Further text on the label reads"12 Slides" and"Made in Germany" The Box actually contains 16 Glass Magic Lantern representing two sets of 8 matching Slides per set. This is an interesting nutcracker. I read a bit about nutcracker construction. And I found out that this type“screw” nutcrackers first appeared in the 17 th century. And they were simple in structure but then artisans began carving and shaping intricate designs. This one is definitely Not that Old! but it is an vintage piece- It is marked on the back France. It is made of 2 pieces- a wooden bowl with wooden screw that turns to smash/ break the nuts. Heavy lovely full wood piece– type of wood unknown- Size: height of bowl section is approx 2 ¼ inches with diameter of 2 ¼ inches; the length with the screw totally expanded is approx 6 inches– when it is screwed in. Treen type Wooden Box with Striped Wooden Features
This old box measures roughly 5" by 2 1/2" tall. It has 5 stripes across the lid and 4 lots of 3 extra coloured stripes on the sides. It seems to be a lighter main wood which has been highly varnished as there are a few small signs of tiny scratches that show lighter. But it is still very nice. The inside is a rough red colour which I think may be just paint, I'm not sure. Interestingly there is a small hole in the base which matches a similar one on the inside of the lid so it seems at some time the lid could have been used as a base, strange but the only thing I can think of. The holes are small and can only be seen if each part is upturned and the lid is not scrtached on the top so that seems to ruin my theory somewhat.

The depth of the compartments are 25mm and the tray is divided into three sections and the largest compartment measures 140mm x 60mm whilst the smallest is 27mm x 42mm. Originally paper was placed on the base but after 100 years it is now tatty so I would think best to remove. There is some damage on the top of about 6 dividers and through wear or being knocked they are a wee bit shorter than they were when they started life over 100 years ago. Noblet wooden clarinet old D type logo
Selling an old French made wooden clarinet by Noblet. This horn is fairly old as it seems to be the 2nd generation logo with a D on the top of the logo rather than under and pre-Leblanc oval shaped logo. The exact model has been difficult at best to identify due to there being no labeling of these models numbers until after this was manufactured. The cork and the pads will need overhauling. But will be worth it in the long run. As-Is.
