Description Large lot of vintage typeset letters. They are very small- most measure 5 mm across. Many different fonts. Punctiation, and symbols. We found these inside the drawers of an old printers table bought from a local estate. I tried to keep the fonts separate. But they were already a mess in the drawers. They are separated into 2 bags- one a type of gothic font and the other a combo of more plain fonts. There are a couple pounds of letters but will be shipped in a small flat rate priority box. Vintage Printing Press Wood Block Letters Type Set in Shadow Box Tray Here is a beautiful old set of printing blocks with a fabulous patina as pictured. I believe the wood is white maple or hickory. And I can't see a single thing wrong with any of them other than one of the"M"s has a fine line in it. Each block measures approximately 1 3/8 inch square by 15/16 inch deep. Some are a little smaller. From what I was able to find out this set dates from the 50's to early 60's. It also includes the original wood and tin tray. The tray is finished in a mint green hammer tone. This set has 107 Characters and 3 spacers. The tray is in very nice condition with only a few very minor scratches here and there. This would make a beautiful wall ornament or even ... moremessage board in any home or office. All in all a very nice hard to find piece. The tray measures 13 1/2 inches wide by 22 3/4 inches tall by 1 1/4 inches deep. This is the best priced and most complete one on e-bay. Complete as pictured.
