Pure Vintage LUDWIG Exterior Bass Drum Damper. Works great. Looks awesome
Outide of the fact that vintage drum sets look bare without one of these substantial dampers dressing the bass drum. The application of the large felt(5.5 inches) on the resonant bass drum head is STILL, to my mind, the best way to insure that your bass drum produces that heart-surging thump, without ring noise, or other compromise. Admittedly. Bass drum manufacturers have come a long way, with the advent of bass drum heads that move in the direction of chanelling the bass drum sound toward the dry, thump sound we all crave and love. And certainly with the addition of a microphone, and the ability to control sound output from the bass drum, much can be done to dampen and control the ring, and higher tonalities that detract from the desired bass drum sound. Still and all, here once again we see that, as is the case with so many things percussion, ... morethe old style approach, and mechanisms prove the best. This piece is an easy sell. Looks great. Particularly on a vintage drum set; is indispensable to control the ringing and harmonics spilling out from a large size bass drum; and overall is part of a professional drummer's arsenal, in his long road toward percussion sound perfection. This one is top quality- Manufactured many years ago by the Wm.F. Ludwig Drum Company of Chicago. USA, every aspect of it works, and works well. You'll have no problem mounting this unit onto your bass drum ring. In terms of positioning there is pivot control hardware, as well as the ability to moderate the amount of tension, and hence degree of muting/muffling/dampening, that is being applied. The piece is all original, to my knowledge. The felt is totally uncompsomised. Not worn in the least. When you hold this piece, and then attach it to your bass drum, and experiment with where, and what degree of application you desire from it, you can FEEL your connection to the highest form of drum playing tradition, and finesse. SRAM Rockshox Revelation XX XLoc Damper, XC race remote
This is a damper assembly out of a 2012 Rockshox Revelation XX World Cup fork. It is the XX Motion Control damper featuring the XLoc hydraulically actuated remote. The XX damper is SRAM's top-of-the-line cross country racing damper and is light and smooth in operation. The compression damping can be adjusted by rotating the gold barrel adjuster on the remote. Remote action is very smooth without mechanical drag associated with cable driven units. The remote allows for two settings. Open compression(feel is set by the barrel adjuster) and heavy compression threshold(near lockout) The fork this damper came out of was a 150-130mm adjustable travel fork so if you have a 2010+ Revelation in that travel range this should plug in without issues. I rode this damper for less than 300 miles. It was not abused in any way and carefully removed by ... moreme. A meticulous mechanic. The remote and line is fully bled so it's a quick job to install into your fork. It functions as new and was only removed so that I could try another damper assembly as an experiment. Looking on the SRAM website shows an upgrade kit for this damper to retail at $262USD. Get it here much cheaper without the bleed tools and stickers you don't need. I'm also including the mounting tab to integrate the remote with Sram shifters and brake perch. I never used this piece and I don't have a picture of it yet. But it will come with the assembly. Installation can seriously be done in 5 minutes if you are clean and careful. It goes like this: 1) Clean dirt. Mud, dust, etc from your fork crown where the damper is to go. 2) Unscrew old damper cap. 3) Slowly pull old damper out making sure that damping fluid flows back down into the leg of the fork instead of coming out with damper assembly. 4) Insert this damper and tighten. 5) Route remote to handlebar. The only place to screw up is step 3 if you manage to pull oil out. In that case you can replace the oil or top it off per SRAM's recommended volumes. That would only add a few minutes to the pr

Absolutely stunning antique Swedish embroidered bell pull dating back to the mid 19th century. This piece has gorgeous floral needlepoint embroidery in wool enriched with bead embroidered oak leaves( and edges. In Sweden these pulls were more commonly used as decorations on the pull chains of the damper. That are external on most Swedish fireplaces. The piece is in great used condition; the colours are quite clear and strong. There are only a few stitches, bearly noticable, and very few beads missing. In the upper part(between the rose and it's leaves, see picture) there is a small tear, or more precisely in the canvas but not in the embroidery. Edged with antique braid, lining is intact and the brass handle is beautifully ornate with grapes and vine leaves. Measures approx. 3.7" wide and 29" in length. Vintage jewel wood stove damper cast iron
This is a Jewel Woodstock stove damper. It is dated 1903. Part number 15. It does have a considerable amount of rust on it. If you are looking at the picture, on the left hand side there is a chip. The chip is 1 1/4 inches long and 3/8 of an inch deep. I am not sure if this would effect the function of the damper or not. I did take a separate picture of the chip so you can examine it.
