Measures approximately 82.5cm x 36cm x 3.5cm deep(32.5" x 14" x 1.5" The tray is divided into three sections. Each having various sized compartments. There are 95 compartments in total with brass detailing at each compartment intersection(see photos) Even the original paper lining in the compartments is still in tact. It also has the original metal handle and label holder. I have polished it up to give the wood a nice all over finish. I t is extremely sturdy and well made with no sign of damages or cracks. Large. Distinctive printers type case by the Hamilton Manufacturing Company! Triangular in shape, standing 32 inches tall, 9 3/4 inches wide, and 1 1/2 inches deep. Has a gorgeous deep, inky patina(and some dust! and enough wear to the edges to show that it was definitely used, but no structural damage, cracks, or missing dividers. The best part about this piece is the retention of its original label! There are numbers across the top and down the side of the entire tray, and a metal label on the base with even a serial number: 3728-35, that itself is a lovely piece of vintage typeface! A nice original Printers Set Tray that would be superb for displaying items.Trinkets, nick nacks etc and measures 14 1/2" x 32 1/2" my ref J11) The back of the tray is made from wood. The depth of the compartments are 25mm and the tray is divided into three sections and the largest compartment measures 140mm x 60mm whilst the smallest is 27mm x 42mm. Originally paper was placed on the base but after 100 years it is now tatty so I would think best to remove. There is some damage on the top of about 6 dividers and through wear or being knocked they are a wee bit shorter than they were when they started life over 100 years ago. The tray that is shown in the photo is the actual one that you will receive and it won`t be one taken randomley from stock. All of the Trays that I sell are packed with Pride. And New Departure Patented. Size is 22" x 16 3/4" x 1 1/2" deep. There is one partition piece missing on the top row left side. I bought this over 20 Plus years ago. Refinished it and have used it as a shadowbox ever since. I used cable wire to hang it on the wall but later added two metal clips to the top to provide more stability. Vintage Thompson printers "California" style type case, display boxed frame
Beautifully refinished vintage Thompson Cabinet Company"California style" printers type set tray. Stained a medium dark Walnut stain with a clearcoat finish. Dark green real velvet backing. The frame is solid. Use it to store matchbox cars. Small scale trains, knives or other small treasures. There is a stamp in an oval shield still barely visible.
