There is a black factory stamp inside on one end and a Craftline factory ID label on the outside of the other end. The inside along the bottom slats is a little gray in color(has gray appearance. Probably from black jewel cases) If you're not familiar with wine crates& similar type wood media crates. The wood often has many small flaws& imperfections and is extremely common. Though some is due to use& wear, many surface irregularities are typical with all of these crates since new and most can be easily woodglued or filled or sanded away because the boxes are made from very soft coniferous wood. This box has some miscellaneous wear but is still in good condition and may just need a little TLC. These can be treated with lemon-oil or butcher's wax to give the wood a richer color. Or with wood stain to bring out the wood-grain, or just clear-coated for a natural gloss or satin finish, or even painted your fav

They have a nice patina and also traces of wear. As the letters had a long life of printing a lot of interesting posters, etc. The letters can be used for exemple as decoration. A truly unique piece of history. An original wood printers type set drawer from the patented brand"New Departure" Polhemus cabinet manufactured by The Hamilton Mfg Co in approximately 1896. This drawer is in excellent condition and is approximately 21 1/2 inches X 21 3/4 inches. It has 110 individual compartments. It has two stamped engravings on it which are somewhat hard to distinguish on the picture. Font consists of a complete alphabet, complete set of figures and punctuation, ampersand, dollar signs. 130 total wooden type pieces included. Here's a unique antique printer's type tray or drawer that would make a nice addition to an industrial or primitive antique decor. Use it as is or use it as a"shadowbox" to display small treasures. Miniatures and/or photos or, re-purpose it as part of a table top. It has strips of copper(or. Possibly brass) trimming the top of the horizontal-running dividers. This trim has a really nicely aged patina. The color of the metal and the fact that there are spots of green-colored oxidation on it lead me to believe that it is copper. The edge of the tray/drawer where the handle is located is covered in painted metal(as is the handle) The handle was designed so that a card/sturdy paper can be slid into it. Vintage Kokeshi doll, Scroll, Friendship doll, Momiji type, Wood Japanese Doll
My mother bought these when we were in Japan in the early 1970's. These were the original"Momiji" dolls. These are NOT Momiji dolls however- those were created sometimes in the 80's and are made of resin. These two little dolls are still classified as Kokeshi dolls. However they DO have the small drill hole in the bottom to insert notes or scrolls. They are truly lovely. They are in near perfect conditon. They have some paint fading- normal for their age. But no chips or dents. The red girl measures 3 inches tall. The green girl measures 2 inches. They are both approx. 1 3/4 inches in diameter. They have the artist's mark on the bottom.

WW2 Japanese Type 44 Arisaka Wood Stock Set - Almost Complete - RARE!
This is a rare type 44 WW2 Japanese Arisaka wooden stock set that is almost complete; I believe the only wooden part missing is the top forestock in front of the barrel band. However, I am not an expert so please make this determination for yourself. The stock is in fair condition but it has numerous scratches, mars, etc. some gouges and has ACM carved into it. There doesn't appear to be any cracks in the stock, and with the stock comes the metal butt plate, the trigger housing guard and a barrel band. We will ship this item within the USA ONLY. Capital"A" letters have Hamilton Two Rivers, Wis. stamped on them. This is a rounded Serif face. Font consists of a complete alphabet, punctuation, ampersand, dollar sign, and incomplete sets of numbers. 197 total wooden type pieces included. Please see 12 pictures above for details and specific character counts. I tried to count the total correctly. I don't know the name of this typeface. The rounded serifs make it look like art nouveau.
