Nice Vintage 1960 Wood Picture Block Puzzle Train Circus Animals Golden Press
Up for auction are these vintage 1960 wooden picture blocks made by Golden Press. There is a complete set of 12 blocks measuring 9 3/4" long x 7 1/4" wide x 1 1/2" when a puzzle is complete. The pictures which the blocks make are unique and include a train scene. A circus scene, a jungle scene, people and so forth. The edges are worn some and there is some spotting on the jungle scene as seen in the photo. These blocks come in a Lit Brothers Christmas Box although it has some writing on one side. Vintage Printing Press Wood Block Characters Numbers Type Set in Shadow Box Tray Here is a beautiful old set of printing blocks with a fabulous patina as pictured. I believe the wood is white maple or hickory. And I can't see a single thing wrong with any of them. Each of the larger blocks measures approximately 2 inches high by 1 3/8 inches wide by 7/8 inch high. Some are a little smaller. From what I was able to find out this set dates from the 50's to early 60's. It also includes the original wood and tin tray. The tray is finished in a mint green hammer tone and has some scratches on the back as pictured. This set has 28 Characters and 6 tray spacers. There are also 100 or more small pieces of wood. That I believe were used for the type setting or spacing, ... moreduring the actual printing process. This would make a beautiful wall ornament in any home or office. All in all a very nice hard to find piece. The tray measures 13 1/2 inches wide by 22 3/4 inches tall by 1 1/4 inches deep. This is the best priced and most complete one on e-bay. Up for auction is a vintage printer's sectioned drawer for numbers. Letters, etc. It is 22 X 16.5 inches. Despite the two cracks in wood on backside it is still very sturdy and hefty in weight. Mirro Cooky Pastry Press This is a vintage Mirro Cookie Pastry Press and comes with a large 9-1/2" barrel press with 11 Discs& 3 large decorating tips and with the wooden holder/ display block. It is in vintage used condition as there is some wear to it as shown in the pictures. This would be a great piece to add to a collection or to put to good use in a kitchen. Items we offer are often purchased at estate auctions and tag sales. A nice collection of 8 old wood letters. They measure approximately 1 3/4 inches by 1 1/2 inches. All wood. Please. Look at all the pictures carefully as they are a major part of the description! Use the mouseover feature whenever available. It is better than any description I could give and I try to use pictures to very accurately show condition. Please ask questions as I do not know what is important to you; or if you would like something else pictured I am always happy to do that! And I want you to be happy! Large Print Block Press Butterfly Butterflies Copper Lead Wood. This butterfly print block has butterflies along the edge and leaves you a place to print a message in the center. It is in good condition with the copper intact. Under the copper is what appears to be a lead layer and all is nailed to a block of wood. The block of wood has a few condition issues as pictured but the overall piece is great for any print block collector or butterfly lover.

"The Farmer Press" : Copper on Wood Cut Block : 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" - WOW!
A rare and interesting item. This is a copper on wood cut printing block. It features a symbol for"The Farmer Press" which says"As Ye Sow So Shall Reap" It is in good condition. Just needs a little cleaning. It was difficult to get a clear picture. But the writing it scrolled around the edges of an oval and the center features an image of a farmer. Vintage Printing Block Graduating Owl - Copper on Wood - Letter Press NR
Measures 1 1/16" by 1 1/4" The image of a graduating owl with his cap with tassel and glasses. I wish the photos were better more clear. This appears to be copper attached to another metal over the wood. This is my first printing block of a collection. So ask questions if I am missing something. I always allow returns. If you would like to return something simply e-mail me within 3 days of receiving the item and mail it back. Buyer pays return shipping. I reimburse the initial shipping and the purchase price. For small items such as this I like to use First Class mail. Because it is quick and least expensive.
