Here is a very pretty glass and metal Holy Water Font. The glass is mirror like and blue in color. Not sure what the metal is. Could be silver plate. No makers mark but it looks French or Italian to me. It is in good used condition with wear and tear from age and use. There are some imperfections inside the glass. Also, there is some green corrosion inside the bowl part from use. Still a very pretty piece that would make a great addition to any collection. There are 2024 individual pieces out of a possible total of 2048. The extra pieces were missing when I acquired this. It is still a fantastic find. Some are red in color. Only on the top though. No idea why they are red though. There are some English letters sprinkled in there but the vast majority are in what I believe is Chinese. Please look to the pictures for details and see the label. I think it might be information about the font or at least who the manufacturer is. The box is very lightweight wood and it has partitions that holds the type in place. The side hinge is in good shape but the latch on the front is missing. Antique Victorian Type Metal SHAVING MIRROR Stand w/ Brush
For auction is an antique metal Victorian looking Shaving Mirror Stand with a Shaving Brush. The stand measures approx. 15 inches high and the base is approx. 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The metal base has a floral paisley design. The mirror is 6 inches in diameter. Is beveled and is in nice condition. It was hard to get a picture of the actual mirror face, as it is reflecting the color of the table top. The other side of the mirror is brown velvety material. It is a sturdy piece. The brush handle has internal cracking, but the exterior appears fine. It is an Admiral- Sterilized Bristles set in Rubber. The metal on the stand has some missing paint and there are areas that are rusted. It needs a cleaning and perhaps the rusted areas can be cleaned up. This has been stored on a shelf for many years. Here is a really small metal doll figurine. Frozen type. Only about 7/8" tall. pictured her next to the penny.To show how small she is. She has enamel or paint. Reddish brown hair, Light green dress with white buttons and trim and black shoes and eyes. She has a red smile. Enameling still looks pretty good with little wear, but when found she was covered in dirt. I did not try to use and cleaner, because I would not hurt the paint or value. So she still needs a deeper cleaning to get the dirt out of the creases. other than that she is in very good condition.
