Early GOLDING OFFICIAL Tabletop Letterpress Looks to be a Model 2. Great for YOUR Collection. Great way to get into Tabletop Printing. Up for offer is a Original Golding Official Letterpress. Looks to be a Model 2 although I cannot verify that. Marked GOLDING MFG. CO. as well as FRANKLIN. MASS. USA on one side and OFFICIAL on other side. Press is missing the ink disk and the chase as can be seen in photos. Also missing the small finger that rotates the ink disk. No ink rollers. Ink rollers should be readily available on ebay. This could easily be operated without the ink disk as the form could be inked with a hand brayer until a disk can be obtained. Has normal wear from use and storage including scratches. Scuffs, marring and some light spots of surface corrosion is several spots. I have cleaned it and oiled it to the best of my ability ... moreand it LOOKS GREAT. No breaks or repairs. Looks to have what might be original paint. The press opens and closes very nicely and operates very smoothly. Paper platen is offset slightly to the left of the chase area(pic 4) I believe this is as it was set up from the factory. Has gripper arms as shown. J hooks are nice and move freely in guides. J hook springs look to be original and function well. Paper platen measures approx. 4 1/2" x 6 7/8" Weight is approx. 41 pounds. Previous owner did a ton of restoration on it. Comes with 2 chases. I believe the treadle is from a C&P due to the patterns on it. The treadle was removed in some of the pictures but I assure you it exists. Actually. Here is a video I took of it: The inside chase actually measures just under about 13”x9” but I would treat it as a 12”x8” Comes with new. Never used rollers. They are still wrapped with paper except for the little edge I tore in order to take a picture. It’s currently on the skids pictured. Located in a residential garage in Seattle. Challenge Platen Printing Press Letterpress
Challenge platen press I bought it a few years ago and while attempting to move it ourselves. It fell off the truck and was damaged. The bar that holds the flywheel on is broken. As well as the arm that holds the wooden shelf on the front, and the lever on the side. In addition to the damage from falling off the truck, one of the holders for the rollers is broken, and the roller that is on there needs to be replaced as well. I havent had the time or money to look into repairing it. And it has just been sitting in the garage under plastic. Local pick up only. It is extremely heavy and you will need at least a few people and a truck to pick it up. But an engine hoist would be best if you have it.

I am selling our Vandercook Universal I Power press. This is an automatic press with ink distributor rollers and an adjustable bed. I have only had it since the summer and have decided to let it go since I prefer a hand crank Vandercook. I have only printed one poster on it since in my possession. I have replaced the tape and sanded and powder coated the feed board for a nice smooth finish. The ink rubber rollers and all metal rollers are in great shape. The bed is in good shape too given its age. The two motors are also in good mechanical shape too. It also comes with a good amount of tympan and draw sheets. Antique"Mini" Vandercook Showcard Proof Press 7"11" along with wood and metal type. This press was made by Vandercook under contract to Showcard Press Company. Chicago, IL. Labeled as"Showcard" Press, this press was the smallest Vandercook Proof Press ever built. This Showcard press model has an 8x11 sheet capacity. It has been stamped N. 5651. The set includes the press with lock bars and letter spring holders. Wood and metal letters with 2 metal type cases and 2 rollers. Considering age and wear the set is in very good condition. The press seems to work properly and rolls with no problems. The bottom grid plate is in good condition. Please examine all pictures carefully. There is very little rust. There is some rust and pitting on the metal type cases but not at all bad. They are in very good structural condition. ... moreThe type is in good condition overall with a few nicks on the wood type but very few. And, of course there is some ink still left on the wood and metal type. Label on press reads: Showcard Machine Co. 320 W. Ohio St. Chicago, ILL. Pat. 1910986. I believe the patent was around 1933. I am not sure of the age of the set but I know it all must have been purchased together because the metal cases are also label with the same Showcard label on top of each case as the machine. There is also a small paper label still left on the side of one of the type cases that reads: WEO5X. Sign Machine Co. MMG Property, Ser. 010929. Wood letters: Not sure of the typeface style. COMPLETE alphabet set with lost of duplicates from A to Z and all numbers 0 to 9 with lots of duplicates and a few punctuation. Each block measures 1 5/8" tall and are in good condition with normal wear from age. This is a Model B Special Showcard Press. It measures a little under three feet long and 22" wide at its widest point. It is very heavy.
