i bought these chinese words a few years ago. i had an idea of using them to decorate book covers with my hot stamping machine but i never got around to doing it. i am guessing that the size is 36 point because it's pretty large. if i could find my printers measure i could measure the type. maybe it will turn up in a day or so and i will add the size to this description. another guess is that maybe these words came from an old chinese newspaper. Maybe from headlines. i have no idea what the words mean. i hope they are nice words. my son married a woman from beijing so my grandsons are half chinese and that is why i got so interested in chinese words.but i never really learned anything but nai nai which means grandma. i put these type pieces in a SMALL FLAT RATE BOX so the charge is $7 shipping anywhere in the united states. i think internationally ... moreit costs about $25. i do not think this is foundry type because it just looks like that kind of hot type from those fascinating machines that create the type while the printer types. but the type looks hardly used and it looks sharp to me. if you have any questions. Letterpress Lead Foundry/Monotype Type 72 point Bernard Heavy. ATF 530. Good/Very operational condition, Excellent Counts. NOTE: This has been used and has some small imperfections on individual letters. Great for Posters or Teaching. Please check pictures carefully. Uppercase. Lowercase, Numbers, Punctuation and Special Characters. Needs Cleaning. Very little Foundry/Monotype type is being produced and it is extremely hard to find in good printable condition. This appears to be Foundry Type, may be Monotype. Used but in very good/excellent condition. Excellent operational condition in my opinion. I am not printer and have no special knowledge on subject. For sale is a Letterpress Printers Block depicting a WWII Airplane Kingfisher OS2U on lead layed on a block of wood. 3 3/4" X 3 1/4' This is one of many blocks that I have aquired at an Estate Auction where they have been stored for years in a box covered with dirt. Spiders nest, and wasp nest. I had the privalige of cleaning them and now giving the world a chance to see them and buy them. I have no printing press so I tried to stamp a copy of the block on paper the best I could seen in picture#2. Shipping is Free. Not Free to International. Not free if more than one is bought.
