WWI British Letter & Photo. Royal Artillery. Western Front, November 1917
This is an interesting original First World War British soldier's letter. Written on the Western Front in November of 1917. The letter was written by a soldier who served in the Royal Garrison Artillery. There is interesting content. There is also an original photograph taken in England of an anti-aircraft artillery battery, in which this soldier likely served before being sent to France. This 3 page frontline letter was written in France on the 10th of November. 1917, by a British Expeditionary Force soldier who served in the Royal Garrison Artillery. The letter was written by 167049 Gunner Noel S. Wardell. There is also an original photograph included, captioned on the reverse. The Royal Garrison Artillery was responsible for anti-aircraft defence, and the photograph shows an ant-aircraft sub section at Whitley Bay. There is a segment about a man named Jack Bartle. Who was apparently missing. This may have been 82114 Private Jonathan H. But I will make all the enquiries I can, and if I should succeed I will let you know. Gunner Wardell states that he was well. And that they had been moving forward: I am quite well up to now and we are still going ahead. Gunner Wardell expresses his hope that the war would soon end. And that he would soon be home in England. He comments on a report that farm labourers were going to be released from the army and sent home. Vintage Letter N, aluminum Sign Letter from the 60's or 70's
This is a terrific vintage aluminum letter off a television production studio here in Massachusetts close to Boston. The material is 1/4" thick. And the posts on the back make the whole piece aprox 1.5" thick. Please see photos to determine exact sizing of each letter. These posts are welded but easily removed with a pair of pliers and a little elbow grease. There is also the residue of an adhesive on the backs of some of these letters. This is an original 2 page Confederate Civil War Soldiers Letter written in ink that reads: Intrenchments Petersburg Va.1 March 1865.My Dear and Dearest Wife.I have concluded this dreary day to write you a few lines.to inform you that I am in good health at present and trusting to god this may reach you and find you all well.Darling I have no news to write that will interest you every thing quite in our army both armies lying or fronting each other.both seem to be afraid to make a move but we will move soon I recon.I don't care how soon for I am tired of those ditches although I have bin in them about eight months.Darling I want to see you so bad I don't know what to do.Oh I would give the world to see you all but I don't know when I will get home.Darling the time seems long since I left home it has been over a year and a half.that ... moreis a long time for a man to have to stay away from his family his dear wife.you don't know how bad I want to see you darling.I know you would like to see old C.C. again.I know that you would like very much to see me but you don't want to see me any worse than I do you.I cant sleep at night for thinking about you and Bobbie and all the rest at home.Darling I haven't had a letter from you since the 28th of November.that is a long time don't you think so.I have wrote to you every week.my not getting letters don't stop me from writing for I no that it is not your fault.I know that you write every week.the Rail Road being cut is the cause of my not getting letters.I want to hear from you.I am ancious to hear from you.I wrote to you a few days ago but I am afraid it will not get through so I will express this one to you.I will write to you every chance I have.there is a bad chance to get letters through form hear but we can express them through for three dollars but I don't mind giving that if you can get my letters.Darling as far as the war I can say but little of I think it will end this year but I fear that it will end agains

The handwritten letter, in period ink, was penned by ROGER PATTERSON who is writing to Mr. or Mrs. U. W. Hanson in North Carolina. He appears to asking Mr. Hanson to take care of some business for him. There is talk of him not hearing from Johnny and that he hopes Johnny and the widow are ok. There was a trial that he was involved in with a Native American Indian Chippewa boy by the name of John from South Dakota but that was in 1900. Patterson is connected with the BAD RIVER RESERVATION in Wisconsin. He worked with/for the United States Indian Service. Vintage 1975 PEPSI-COLA Bottling Los Angeles Letter This is an original. Not a copy, of a letter written on Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. of Los Angeles letterhead, dated September 15, 1975. It is in regards to a lease of property in Palm Springs, California and is signed by the Vice President of Finance(at the time) Charles C. Bailey. One of the words in the inside address of the letter has been'correcto-ribbon' typed(you remember"typewriters" in the days before computers) meaning it was typed incorrectly and then backed over by the typist and hit with a correction key, then the correct key punched. It has the Pepsi logo in the upper left corner of the sheet. This letter is in great condition with no folds or markings except for a very light paper clip indent on the left hand top corner and a sprinkling of light creases along ... morethe left side, nothing at all major. Grand Duke Michael Mikhailovich Romanov Facsimile Autograph Letter 1914 WWI Printed facsimile note from Grand Duke Michael Mikhailovich Romanov. Dated 17 November 1914. Single sheet folded into self-mailer, roughly opened, good condition overall. Grand Duke Michael(1861-1829) Grandson of Tsar Nicholas I and first cousin of Alexander III, lived out his life in exile following his morganatic marriage to Pushkin's granddaughter in 1891. From 1900 through the end of World War I, he lived in London, and during the war he collected gloves and mittens to be sent to British soldiers at the front. This is a thank you letter from his charity with his handwriting printed in facsimile. It was addressed so quicly and sloppily that it not clear that it reached the intended recipient. This is a 1976 One Hundred Dollar Gold Coin Of Belize. It is made by the Franklin Mint on July 21. 1976, the 1st day of minting for the Proofs. It comes in the original blue mini binder/case in a sealed cachet with the original letter sent to the Franklin Mint subscriber. It also comes with what i believe to be the original cardboard cover slip which is rare to find. It was only available in Belize and by Franklin Mint subscribers so it is quite rare. It is 6.21 grams of 500/1000 fine gold. It is in mint condition and is highly collectible. The face of the coin shows a design based upon ancient Mayan symbols. The reverse shows the national coat of arms of Belize and the denomination along with the year of issue. It will only go up in value and collectability as time passes.
