It has gorgeous scrolling on the clip itself and is signed with a B in the center of a Crown on the back. It is very large measuring 2.5" x 1.75" and is in lovely condition. I would say that it was once gold plated over brass but much of the gold is worn away. From what my research shows this is a yet to be discovered mark from Germany. Dress Clip This is an absolutely beautiful dress clip! I think the roses are molded as opposed to carved. Because they are all the same, but I'm not an expert in this. It came from an estate, I don't know for certain its age. I do know these were popular at the turn of the century. The setting is brass colored, except for the back of the clip which is silver color. The clip works fine. The prongs are all set slighter bigger than the roses so they can mover freely just a little bit. No makers mark that I can find, I wish I knew more about this piece, but it is really feminine, elegant and quite old. A great piece for a collector! Each earring comprises one 14mm diameter by 9mm deep round cut rich golden-orange citrine crystal. Prong set in a gilt metal collet mount with a filigree gilt metal trim at the base. Set on the front of gilt metal clip-on fittings. In very good antique condition. The pictures provided form part of the description. Please note: this is a genuine vintage item. True Art Deco Rhinestone Dress Clip - Spectacular!
This magnificent dress clip has been fully restored. Each rhinestone has been replaced although the glass prism is original and was left untouched. The pot metal was not replated as most of the original plating is intact on the clip itself. Clip is large. Measuring over 2 5/8" tall and 1 3/4" at the widest point. The prism is 1 1/16" wide. It is unmarked and in good condition. There is some loss of plating on the top of the clip mechanism in the back. Due to the soft nature of pot metal and the age of this scarce dress clip we recommend using caution when opening and closing in order to avoid undue stress on the two solder areas at the top of the navette rhinestones. This is truly a spectacular and gorgeous vintage unfoiled high quality rhinestone fur/dress clip. It measures 2 3/4" by 1 7/8" It is made up of a double layer of montain blue chanton rhinestones and a very LARGE unusually shaped colbalt rhinestone. The outter layer contains 16 large rhinestones and the inner layer 17 medium rhinestones totalling 33. The colbalt rhinestone measures 1/1" by 3/4" The clip weighs 38.7 grams. All of the rhinestones are prong set. There are three tiers to the clip. See picture 4 to see the clarity of the rhinestones as the light flows through them. The clip fits tightly. Amazing Antique Art Nouveau Silver Necklace VERY heavy w/ clip w/ marcasites?
Untitled Document Late Victorian or Art Nouveau. Heavy Necklace with clip. This beautiful antique silver necklace measures over 27 inches in length without the tassels on either end(with tassels over 29 inches) and has silver plate(tarnished)over a gold metal that I am assuming is bronze or brass? It is a very heavy necklace for it's size with a weight of 43.2 grams without the clip(clip is 6 grams) total weight together 49.2 grams. The necklace ends in 2 bell shaped cones with silver tassels inside coming out. The necklace and clip are very well made. The clip is intricate filigree metal work and on it's own. Measures 1.25 inches by 1 inch and is solid gold colored all the way through on top, I am assuming brass or bronze? The cleat back part on the clip is bright gold wash over a silver metal. There is a beautiful pearl or faux ... morepearl in the center of the clip measuring approx. 7mm across. Surrounded by what would have been 6 small marcasites I am assuming? one is missing) all prong set in a very ornate filigree metal work of 6 flowers(containing the marcasites or rhinestones) on top of a lower filigree base of 12 intricate scallops. There is a 10mm metal flower adjoining the large flower and in the center of that flower is a small pearl or faux pearl. The actual clip is nice and straight and 1.25 inches long and has 8 cleats and is a different bright gold color(different from the flower filigree top)with minor gold loss to the very tip of the clip exposing a silver metal. Unlike the top piece, which is shiny gold colored all the way through inside? The clip stays shut, holding it securely to the necklace. One could remove the clip and use it for a scarf tie or some other tie or adornment for an evening bag or purse or something. When I first saw this sitting on a table at an auction house. I thought it was one piece until closer inspection. It comes with a very old jewelry box that reads: Worden's Jewelry. Norton Kansas. There is a name in ink on the box that says Ruth.
