It has not been fully tested other than power up since being turned in as I do not have the knowledge to fully test. I have turned it on. It powers up, and the dwell time selection worked fine. Also, moving the tester manually up and down was nice and smooth. Please check out the pictures as you can see the gauge covers still go on and nothing is damaged in the dial indicator area itself as the covers were off of the unit when damaged. I have taken many pictures to show the inside of all areas of the unit. This is a very nice unit that is being sold for a great price because of the cover damage and my inability to fully test and calibrate. When I took a known working control panel and put it on this machine, it does not work properly and I am only able to switch between the"rock well superficial" and rock well" method setting. The problem is not the control panel, it must be something else. When I push the start button i can hear and see the motor in the back move like it normally should, so I am assuming that the machine should work properly if you can fix the problem with the settings selection. There are some scratches on the unit from normal use and the plastic trim around the conrtol panel is dented in a couple of spots, but overall it is in good shape cosmetically. This hardness tester is in good cosmetic condition and come with the complete weight set included. The only defect we know of is the split lever on the bottom front. It was calibrated recently on 04-04-2012 by Dynamic Technology Inc. in Dallas. However. This unit has not been tested by us and therefore is being sold as is. Everything pictured is included.
