MOREHOUSE INSTRUMENT PROVING RING 100,000 lbs, Compression
This proving ring was used a few times by a calibration lab and then stored. Unfortunately the box it was stored in got wet at some point and unnoticed. The rust is from sitting in the box over 2 years that was wet inside. Otherwise this was in new condition. Please see pictures for rust spots. Most of the rust should not impede measurements it would seem. However the measuring button itself is rusted on the dome and I would assume that should be cleaned off if readings will be repeatable. For Sale is this MOREHOUSE PROVING RING with 50.000 LB Capacity manufactured by the Morehouse Instrument Co. out of York. Pennsylvania. Serial# 3672 and came from surplus of a local DFW government contracted company that manufacturers aircraft. It was last calibrated by the manufacturer in July 0f 2012 and doesn't expire until 2017. It comes complete with the ring mounts(not sure what they are called) and a custom oak box or protective case carry crate.
