The case measures approx 16-3/4" x 2-1/2" wide x 4-1/2" high. Together, case and level weigh approx 7 pounds. On the upper left corner of the top of the level is a very small chip(see finger pointing in last pic) Someone scratched the letters"PCI" on the side of the level(see 2nd to last pic) The outside of the wood case is a little scuffed up.

Little to no rust. Paint and finish is in good condition. Minor metal oxidation on bottom. No chips in metal or missing parts. Comes with 2 small calibration tools in the box. 12” Master Precision Machinist Level, V-grooved 0.0005”/10” VIS? Made in Poland?
12” Master Precision Machinist Level. V-grooved, original box, 0.0005”10” There is no brand name on the level or on the box. I’ve seen three levels like this one online. And all of those were marked“VIS, Made in Poland” The level is in good condition. But there is some light surface rust. I have not tried to clean it. Also, the box is spattered with paint, and the word LEVEL(written with a felt-tip marker) can be seen on one end of it. Free shipping within the continental US. Free pick-up in Friendswood. TX. Master Precision Level Universal Boring Machine Co. 4.2sec Vial (.00023"/10")
Very nice high quality level. Overall length: 27" Chassis was fully stripped and powder coated. Level vial was removed, cleaned, the index marks have been re-painted and the vial was re-installed with a high contrast background. There is an etching on the vial that lists its accuracy as 4.2 seconds of arc which equates to.00023" of rise per 10" of length. Most of the original hand scraping on the base is still visible. Cast iron this old is very stable, and a new freshly scraped base will last for decades and will make the level very useful as a precision straightedge. Note that I have not scraped the base, it is for sale as is and as shown in the pictures. If the purchaser wished I will scrape the base to a grade B surface plate giving an overall accuracy of better that.0001" over the entire length.
