This listing is for an Authentic. Depression Era Hocking Block Optic, 54 Ounce Bulbous Pitcher in Green. Block Optic was introduced by Hocking in 1929 and discontinued in 1933. The pattern features vertical optic panels and horizontal rings creating rows and columns of square blocks. Four different pitcher shapes were introduced in the pattern. This pitcher is the shorter 54oz size with a bulbous bottom. The uranium salts used production of the green really pop under UV light. The pitcher measures 7 5/8" high. 4 3/4" in diameter across the widest portion, holds 54 fl oz and weighs 1 lb 12.4 oz. The piece is free of chips. Cracks and fleabites, including on the handle, rim and spout. There are no notable marks from use or storage and very light wear on the foot. The glass is wonderfully clear. The handle has an interesting manufacturing ... moreerror on the outside as seen in the photos. It appears to have been rubbed against something while the glass was still warm leaving a"rough texture" again there are no fleabites or chips. UP for SALE is this Vintage HEISEY ALEXANDRITE Diamond Optic PITCHER with 4 12ounce SODAS. It is one of the Rarest Colors produced by Heisey and has retained its Value through the years.The Glass is Clean and Bright without any Nicks. Cracks and Repairs. This Pitcher measures 7 5/8 inches high. The 12 ounce Footed Alexandrite SODAS are 5 1/2" high with a 2 7/8" diameter bowl. These pictures were taken under incandescent lighting. There are a few minor faint scratches and a small bubble on the Pitcher, otherwise it is in Excellent Condition. The Sodas are all in excellent condition. They both had so many gold designs on the same shape glass. I can’t tell exactly who made them and what pattern it is. They would certainly coordinate with any of the similar optic gold trimmed glassware both companies made so prolifically in the 20s-40s. Dimensions: 5 3/8” Condition: Excellent. Up for your consideration is a beautiful set of 7 light green depression era tumblers. They have optic etching and 2 rings around the bottom. They are very light and beautiful. Each one holds approximately 10 ounces and stands approximately 5 1/2" tall. Two of them have a couple of very small chips around the rim and I saw a bubble in the glass on one. Large green Pitcher with optic diamond pattern 3 lb 4.6 oz 8 1/8" high
This handy green Pitcher stands about 8 1/8 inches high at the highest point and is about 5 3/8 inches wide at the top. Side to side(not counting spout area) The circular base is about 4 3/8 inches in diameter. When I filled it to the brim it held just at 2 quarts, anything over that will end up in sponge or towel(I just learned this) The pattern is like the optic diamond pattern I have seen on some other pieces but I could not find out who made this. Some sources indicated pieces like this were made in the 1950's but I cannot verify that. This looks close to a Hazel Atlas pattern but not quite the same. Anyway, if you should need to serve up to about a half gallon of something(other than like potato salad etc. this is the right tool for the job. This piece is in very good condition. I found no chips. Flakes, cracks or"bites" ... moreon it. Check out my other items! I typically ship via FedEx Smart Post or USPS Parcel Select as they are the least costly means I have found. LOGS, LOG CABIN was made by the ANCHOR HOCKING Glass Company. Circa 1937-1942. The pitcher features vertical ribbed sides, a horizontal optical banded neck, a fine ribbed handle, and an ice lip. It glows beautifully under UV light. There is minor wear with bottom scuffs and a few scratches. VERY GOOD condition overall. No chips. No cracks. 9 1/2" tall x 6 1/4" diameter. Stunning lot of 18 depression era punch glasses unlike anything I have seen around. The glasses stand 3 inches high and are 3 inches wide at the top and hold 6 ounces. The pattern reminds me of my grandmother's settings. There are actually 19 cups but one is nicked and I will include the damage one for free to the buyer.
