This is a 1/2 inch diameter protected silver mirror with a Newport alignment mount in an aluminum holder that was part of a florescence spectrometer detector. Protected silver is used because it has poor reflectivity at the UV pump band. But excellent reflectivity and linearity through all of the visible, and most of the near IR. This is a cabinet vase that was produced by Peter Vizzusi/ Magic Sands Glass. The studio was formed in 1979 and this vase is dated in 1982 making it an early work by Peter. It features an iridescent mirror cobalt finish on optic glass. The vase stands 4-3/4" 12.1 cm) tall and measures 4-1/4" 10.8 cm) in diameter at the rim. Coherent Protected Silver Laser Optic Mirror & Mounting MM-2 Yellow HeNe Yag
This is a 1cm protected silver laser mirror with a mounting similar to a MM-2. It was used to bend the yellow hene aiming beam for an erbium laser originally. But since it is a silver mirror, it will work through the entire visible band. This is a nice optic. I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week. Aluminum holder for discs 4 inches in diameter with retaining ring. Holder rotates within frame. Frame attaches with a collet lock(on a stanchion) to a rail(not included) about 5/16 inch in diameter. Included is a sort of lens board. With an opening 1 1/4” in diameter, that is recessed(or protrudes) about half an inch. It fits loosely into the holder; it is 1/16” shy of 4 inches in diameter, but the retaining ring can hold it firmly in position. No identifying marks. This is a vintage set of four modern mirror art tiles, each with a chrome frame. Measuring 12" x 12" They have can be hung in a square or diamond pattern for different looks. Each has a different reverse painted black modern design on mirrors. They display nicely in a modernist home or office. Chrome frames show some age with some oxidation on edges. This is from Marshal Space Flight Center in Huntsville Alabama. It is encased in a metal frame that is removable and has mounting points in the middle. There is no data on the use or application.
