Antique Wood Frame Mirror Shadow Box-Intricate Detailed Frame-Center Is Shelf
Hello. You are viewing my auction for an Antique Wood Frame Mirror Shadow Box. This is an Intricate Detailed Frame. The center of the frame Acts As Shelf or shadowbox where you could place figurines or other pieces. This is a Lovely Design with lovely wood. I am unsure of the exact wood that this frame is made of. The entire framed piece measures 33" long by 27" tall by 5" deep. The mirror by itself measures 27 and 5/8" long by 21 and 1/2" tall. The entire unit weighs 13.2 pounds. The mirror has a cardboard backing that appears it got wet at some point. The mirror on the one section has spotting on it which I have shown in the photographs. There are no breaks in the glass. The entire item does need to be cleaned. I leave all cleaning to the new owner. The wood frame has some marks to it however there are no breaks ... moreor repairs present. Description This is an antique carved wood- I think it is oak- pediment. It measures 52-1/2" long by 14" high and 3" deep. It has its original beveled mirror in the center. It is in good condition- nice carvings- there is one corner- lower right where there is a piece of wood missing. I have shown that in last photo with green box around it. This uncirculated Mexico 20 pesos was struck about 10% off-center. The reverse face. Ordinary struck by the anvil die and carrying the bust of Modero, has been replaced by a minimally expanded mirror brockage of the obverse design. This incuse, mirror-image formed when a planchet was fed in on top of a newly-struck coin that was never ejected from the striking chamber. Striking pressure must have been abnormally low for there to have been so little expansion of the coin and its brockage. The result is particularly eye-catching. It is a heavy mirror with an exquisite rose vine floral design. The mirror measures 10-1/4" in length and the side to side measurement is 5-1/2" The weight of the mirror is 410 grams. Approx. 14-1/2 oz. just under 1 pound) It is in very nice condition. It does have 3 small dents. One is in the tip end of the handle and it is approximately 1/8" Another is in the monogram and it is a slightly depressed area of about 1/4" And the other dent is in the top end by the Woodside hallmark. This dent of about 3/4" in length and 1/8" in depth can be seen in the pictures. The glass has some clouding from age as pictured.

This Art Deco wall mirror has a large(16" diameter) convex mirror in the center. Flanked by 6 pieces of peach colored glass. This is all original, there are no chips or breaks in any of the glass. Beautiful Antique 3" OG Cherry Wood Frame with Lead? Mirror Brass Center Hanger
For your consideration is a Beautiful Warm Cherry 3" Wood Frame with lead back mirror. I believe the mirror to be lead backed. Very heavy. The frame has a wonderful color with all the seams strongly together. The side edges have a thin dovetail pinning which can be seen in the photos. There is a Brass loop on the top for hanging, but the previous owner choose to put a wire on the back for more security. Perfect entry Mirror. The mirror does show some age to it with fine hazing. Antique Victorian Drop Center Marble Top Dresser w/ Pivot Mirror
A very cute little dresser brought up from Georgia to the Asheville NC area 20 years ago. Judging from the style and the candle shelves on either side. Late 19th Century. Features the original marble. Clean and unbroken, the original antique mirror, all of the original drawer pulls of figured brass, and the original casters. Original finish- has not been stripped. Stands about 80 inches high and 16 inches deep- it is a smallish piece and stands nice and shallow out from the wall- perfect for a small guest room or an accent to a large room. I'm not certain. But the wood is probably walnut. The five drawers all work just fine and have unusual'round peg dovetailing' construction(shown above in a detail shot) The hardware is ALL original EXCEPT that the bolts that originally held the pivoting mirror have been replaced by heavy screws. ... moreWhich doesn't affect the look of it too much(and they could be fairly inexpensively restored with something vintage) The mirror section is removable to facilitate moving. A very handsome piece. With minimal scratches and wear. The hand-carved details are a bit on the rustic side and not terribly fussy or'polished' workmanship. Almost folk arty. It is a solid piece and nice and usable still, with a decidedly'country' feel to it. The piece is actually quite light once the drawers are pulled out for transport and is not too heavy to lift at all. I love the carved details and personality of the thing! I do not want to ship it if I can help it- would prefer local sale. We live in Mars Hill. North Carolina, just 20 minutes from Asheville and easy directions to find us. I can help move it as well. Piece by Joerns Bros. Furniture Co. out of Stevens Pt. Wisconsin. In business since 1898. High end bedroom furniture manufacturer. Mirrors are removable from the vanity by sliding the mirrors up out of the horizontal cross brace that can be seen in the rear photo. Tri-fold mirrors. Small age spot on the top of the center mirror. In the photos the piece has not been cleaned, will look even better after polishing. ALL ORIGINAL. Stool is not available. Nor are the original rolling casters. This fine 19th century dresser features its original glass drawer pulls. Early hand-cut dove-tailed ends on the drawers and powerful S scrolls that flank the base. The ogee framed mirror rests between the tall scroll top arm supports, we believe the mirror to be an older replacement and is nice and clear. The drop center base features smaller glove box drawers on each side with ogee drawer fronts and below additional storage is found in the four larger drawers below.
