R.B. Super D Graflex 3x4 w Kodak 190mm Ektar lens & 2 film holders
Selling a working Graflex 3X4 Super D with 190mm Kodak Ektar lens and two 3 1/4" X 4 1/4" double-sided film holders. Camera seems to be in pretty good condition overall but has a few scuffs and touches of green verdigris on brass parts. I see one screw missing from the shutter release escutcheon. The top carry-handle shows wear and should NOT be used to schlep around when shooting. This camera is at least sixty-years old and as far as I know has NEVER been serviced. Figure that it will need some TLC and gentle coaxing to make it a reliable user camera. Shutter works at all speeds in both ranges but has NOT been tested for accuracy. Shutter curtain is the post-war rubberized cloth and light-tight. Curtain material and inside of camera show some light spotting with what I imagine is mold. Not too bad and can probably be cleaned off ... moreif you feel the need. There is a slight musty odor evident. The folding focus hood is a bit soft and saggy but functions well. Ground glass and reflex mirror look good and are clean. Ground glass is fitted with a fresnel screen which adds to overall brightness when focusing. Automatic diaphragm mechanism is working. 190mm Ektar lens has a dented rim. Aperture blades open and close easily. Glass has a few cleaning marks and needs a good cleaning inside and out. I've shot film with this camera/lens and everything works well just as it sits. Bellows are good. Pop-up lens hood material has been reinforced inside at the creases with black fabric tape. The two included 3X4 Graflex film holders show minor but obvious wear. This is a great camera for a Polaroid or roll-film conversion but it's actually pretty easy to cut film down to fit the holders. Selling AS-IS so examine pictures and ask questions before bidding. Shipping is expensive so keep in mind when bidding. For bid is the Old Nautical Lot pictured. There is a new Perko replacement plastic anchor light cover and a used one. There is a pedestal anchor light with cracks in the cap& a used cap. This one has holes for a flag(approx. 5 1/2" gap) There is a transom light with wear that did light 12V. There is a chrome plated brass gas cap with chain(1 3/4" across at threads) Last are 4 flag holders with different angles and hole sizes. One is marked Perko. It is a flush angle mount that someone drilled drain holes in the base. The hole size is just under 1 1/4" The other is a straight flush mount with a 1" hole. Agfa-Ansco 3x4 field camera with lens, case, and three film holders
This is an Agfa-Ansco 3 x 4 large format view camera. It's made of wood. Probably cherry. The finish is scratched here and there. There are no gouges, cracks, loose joints, or anything to compromise the camera's structural integrity. The whole camera is very stiff and strong. The ground glass is intact and in good shape. All the springs, hinges, gears, and other metal fittings are in excellent shape with a nice aged patina. The bellows is intact and looks okay, but is rather stiff. Numerous pinholes are visible when checked against a strong light source. This will need service or replacement Included is a Betax No 3 lens(and board) Which seems to be in good working order. On the back of the lens is a stamping reading"PAT NOV 21, 1922" It's clear with no sign of fungus. The original lens cap is included. The three film ... moreholders are double-sided. One is from"Baco Hollywood USA" Another is from"FOTAC" The third bears no manufacturer's mark. But is marked with the numbers"11" and"12" The camera itself folds up and slides into the pictured case. 1890 Blair Hawk-Eye Detective Camera w/Plate Holders, Darlot Lens, More * Exc.
Make sure to check out all of my auctions after you look at this one. I'm listing another eclectic assortment of antiques and collectibles. And I suspect there will be something to interest just about everyone. Here's a superb. Working and complete Hawk-Eye"detective" camera manufactured by the Blair Camera Co. in Boston ca. 1890. The camera comes with its 3 original Blair plate holders, its original ground glass focusing plate, its original felt and brass lens cover, and a highly desirable Darlot lens(an upgrade that would likely have doubled the price of the camera when it was new) Detective cameras were known as such because of their appearance. Unlike tailboard cameras or folding cameras- which were the"norm" in the 1880s and 1890s. And which could be readily identified as cameras by anyone familiar with the ... moretechnology- detective cameras appeared to be nothing more than wood boxes, perhaps containing a cache of pencils, trinkets, etc. With viewfinders discreetly built into the top and side, a detective camera could be employed to surreptitiously take photographs of subjects not just head on, but from a ninety degree angle as well. Condition of this Hawk-Eye is excellent throughout. About as nice and clean and original as you'll find anywhere. There's some light wear and minor marks evident on all sides, but the wood's finish is original, and it's still as smooth as satin to the touch. The spring-secured insert panel on the back(that when removed allows you to focus with the ground glass plate) is still complete and intact, with minimal wear evident and no repairs. Front door locks securely when closed. As does the back door. All of the hardware is original, and no hardware is missing. The brass retaining clips that secure the plateholders are still resilient and still hold the plateholders securely. The shutter works in both positions, at all settings. Excellent condition. The wooden base shows some signs of prior use. Base is approximately 23x15 inches. Vertical height of the enlarger rail is approximately 29 inches. Meopta Belar 4.5 lens. Built-in red filter as shown. 4 negative holders as shown. There is a working bulb. Although we have no way to predict the longevity of the bulb and can't guarantee its functionality. The rocker switch on the power cord does not stay in the"off" position(it does stay in the"on" position) however if you are using an enlarger timer to control the on/off function, this would not be an issue. Alternatively, the switch could be replaced if desired.

Fits round diopters with 93x1.5mm thread. Such diopters allow you shooting from shorter distances(main purpose) But some users discovered interesting side effect- higher quality of anamorphic images.
