Velmex B5990TS Motorized Rotary Table
This is a small Velmex 360 Degree Rotary Table. I can not test this unit so I can not say that it works. But as shown in picture"AA" the four coils each have a resistance of 3.6 Ohms using my Radio Shack digital Ohm meter. The only damage areas are the 360 Degree readings between the 50 and 120 Degree markings and scratches here and there as shown in the pictures. I am retired and it is time to clean out the shop area. This device is a definite purpose mechanical stage. It consists essentially of a base with a main X-Y translation stage with a range of.050" in each direction. With an auxiliary second stage mounted on it. The second stage features X-Y translation with a range of.500" in each direction and a precision rotary adjustment. Each stage has an aperture, and the centerlines of the apertures are 4" apart. Adjustment of the micrometers varies the relative positions of the centerlines in small, precise increments The main linear stage is 4.5" square with a 1.75" opening in the center. The X and Y motions appear to utilize heavy duty crossed roller slides. The auxiliary stage is 3" diameter and uses ball bearing slides. The details of the mechanism are a mystery for the buyer to solve- we didn't want to take it apart ... morejust to satisfy our curiosity! We don't know what the original design intent was, but it's a treasure trove of micrometer adjustments and precision slides.

For auction is a set of Klinger/Newport precision motion control goniometric cradles. Rotary stage and power amplifier. They are from my laboratory. I used the goniometric cradles in manual configuration for my research over the last 4 years. I had planned on running them with Labview but never had the time to set it all up. I'm switching to different research so this equipment must make space for new things. They are used but have very low hours so the slides and bearings are just like new. No damage, just normal scratches and dings from general use and storage. These use DC servomotors not stepper motors so they are both fast and powerful. The power amplifier is referred to as a stepper amplifier but it was configured at the factory to run the DC servomotors.
