But face it, there are times when it just makes life difficult. Microscopes, balances, phonographs, CD players—all could benefit from the vibration isolation offered by this system. I have tested it as far as I am able, and it behaves as the manual describes. The floor on which I tested it is a fairly bouncy wooden floor, and just walking on it made the lights on the machine flicker. The table's top plate measures 24 x 31 inches, big enough for a microscope AND a turntable. The manual's description of operation: When operating the system for the first time. Set the front panel isolation switch to OFF(red button out) Switch on power at the switch on the rear ... morepanel. The green power indicator lamp will now light and the 8 display LED’s in the right hand block will briefly flicker. The yellow enable LED will flash on and off at about 2 Hz. If severe vibrations are present, or if you place your hand on the table top, some, or all, of the LED’s will flicker.
