It is from a laboratory environment where it has been mounted to equipment that was in storage for some time. It is in good condition with smooth operation. The Newport DM13 Differential Micrometer is a high precision micrometer with about 13mm of travel and alone sells for $459.94. The 436 stage has 2 inches of travel. Current Newport price for the stage without a micrometer is $645.94 so this is a very expensive stage when purchased new.
