Anorad 7.5"x12 Crossed Roller Linear Sealed Positioning Table Stage Servo
This is an Anorad Anoride 7 series model S-12 linear positioning table in good working order. Being assembled from only two Meehanite castings with integral ways. Structural integrity and reliability are ensured. Table will be shipped with locking screw in place to ensure safe arrival. Total length of enclosure is 33.75" Not 32.5" as stated on drawing. The"Anoride" positioning table uses a most reliable and simple design: A two-piece construction. With the slides integral in"meehanite" castings. There are no separate pieces that are screwed on, consequently, there is no possibility of screws loosening, or ways getting out of adjustment. The use of one type material eliminates distortions and inaccuracies caused by temperature changes. Closely spaced rollers are held between the two V-surfaces. They are"crossed" ... morerollers. Alternately perpendicular to each other, providing a line contact. In this manner, a stiction free movement is realized without friction. Each table has a built-in preload, using rollers of a selected diameter which have been matched to the castings. Shake or play is eliminated by the built-in spring load of the casting, that does not change with time and temperature. The table is manufactured of high strength nodular meehanite cast-iron. Which has been stress relieved, normalized and stabilized to maintain accuracy and durability with time. The ways are hardened and heat treated in a special process to achieve surfaces of high hardness to minimize wear. All critical surfaces are then precisely ground to achieve precision. Straightness and flatness. The rated load applied to the rollers and V-ways is less than 20% of its rated capacity, assuring a long life expectancy. I was a bit surprised to dig through their website and find that this is a $527 item from them. Maybe I am missing something but I am guessing you could buy a competitive brand with micrometer adjustment for less. This just has a couple of rather crude screws for adjustment. The stage itself seems nice enough but about the best I can say about the adjusters is that perhaps they are adequate to the task. The website describes this as being 1.75” square. And one side is that long, the other just a bit shorter if I am measuring correctly The slide action seems fine. The screw adjustment probably need some lubrication but the do work. Otherwise untested. Sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. ... moreHowever. IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.
