The mounting slide has four#6-32 tapped holes. There are four drilled and counterbored holes in the base. The micrometer heads are graduated with.001 inch divisions. Metric micrometer heads with.01 mm divisions are available. The castings are of dense iron. Nickel plated and finished with light gray enamel. Aluminum castings can also be furnished. The vertical slide will carry 1 pound. One or two extra springs can be added and each spring will allow the unit to carry an additional pound. Model A with iron castings weighs 3 pounds 10 ounces.
