This 19th century piece is just gorgeous and would surely be a beautiful focal point in your home. This is a impressive sideboard with gorgeous spoon carvings. Finials, carved Lion heads,burl walnut panel accents and a fancy carved scroll and shell gallery as well as the original beautiful brown marble top and the original brass hardware and early dove-tailed ends on the drawers. This sideboard/ buffet measures a total height of 82 1/2 inches( 6 ft 10 1/2 in) to the top of the carvings on the very top center. Height from the floor to the top of the brown marble measures 36 1/2 inches,with a total width of 48 1/4 inches and a depth at the base of 21 1/2 inches and this pieces weighs approximately ... more250 lbs. This sideboard does dis-assemble into 4 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The fine display shelf above the marble measures 26 inches in height above the marble top and the shelf measures 43 inches wide by 11 inches deep.The larger mirror measures 19 inches high by 33 inches wide, and the three mirrors at the top each measure 10 inches wide by 6 inches high. This is a fabulous piece in wonderful antique condition and the original brown marble top is also just beautiful with no apologies we can find. All the locks are intact but the key provided just aids in opening the cabinet doors and does not work the locks. There is a small piece of carving missing on the left side of the pediment inside of one of the scrolls. All the original bras casters on intact on the feet. Base and center leg and this table has a solid walnut top, raised panels of burl walnut accenting the apron and a splendid carved base which also has raised burl panels and carved scrolls accenting each leg. This table measures 30 inches in height from the floor to the top.With a height from the bottom of the table apron to the floor of 25 1/2 inches. We saved this great looking lacquer finished burl walnut from the trash heap at grandma's house this weekend. I am not a smoker so I know nothing about it. Other than I recognized it as a humidor. This vanity measures 72 1/2 inches in height from the floor to the top of the cheval mirror at the center. This is a two-piece secretary which makes moving it a whole lot easier. What caught my eye on this piece was it was a davenport desk. But instead of the typical slant front, this one has a secretary section on top. This is not a married piece, these two started life together, guaranteed. The top has nice intricate Eastlake type of carvings and half pinwheels surround the gallery. The desk top or writing surface drop downs to reveal a nice writing desk. Elaborate fretwork shaped legs and back. Lift top has been covered in red leather(newer? and has a mirror on the underside. Partitioned storage space painted turquoise. There is a molded shelf across the top of the piece. Supported by scrollwork and perfect for holding knick knacks, framed pictures or small books. No maker's marks. for auction is a one of a kind antique burl walnut coffee table. i attribute it john jelliff. If he made it, good for him, you won't find a better one, if someone else made it, they are at least as good as jelliff if not better. anyway, this is the real deal, it is not cut down, it is not a reproduction. most tables listed as coffee tables are cut down from a taller table. coffee tables for real are quite rare in antiques, this particular one is extremely rare. i have never seen another like it. you will not find another one like it nor will you find a better one. it is fabulous, center crests on sides and ends, corinthian capitals on the top of the legs supporting the table top frame. the marble top is very intricate, also original to the piece and in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, etc. the marble alone today would cost at ... moreleast 1000.00 to have cut scalloped and molded. the table has many great features, the burl walnut in the several panels makes it extremely attractive. it is very solid and free of any visible damage or repairs, there is some crazing in the burl but that is to be expected on a table that is 150 years old. the only tweaking i can see on the table is that a couple of the glue blocks have been replaced. it is a large one being 42 inches wide, 29.5 inches deep, and 21 inches tall. again, you can not find this table anywhere, it is in a league of it's own and is of nearly museum quality. it has been in my bedroom in front of a belter sofa for some time now, however, i just acquired a wonderful john henry belter bedroom set which is taking up quite a lot of additional space and this particular table needs to go somewhere else, problem is i do not have any room for it anywhere else so i have decided to sell it. a very very nice table. you make pick it up at my home or it can be shipped at buyer's expense. good luck.

For sale an antique Victorian large wall pocket newspaper rack fold out with heraldic blazon style decoration. I believe this is walnut wood. The burl of the pocket fold I believe is walnut. Beautifully carved with cote of arms motif. The frame has a 10" flying dragon on each upper side and leaves all over the frame, and one plain leaf in the center in case you'd like to personalize. The burl front pocket has"L" engraved. The rack measures about 27" x 18" The wood sticks out from the wall about 3" before opening the rack. The pocket expands up to 6.5" Condition: The bottom right corner is about 8" chipped and glued as shown in last two pics. The front burl wall pocket under"L" has a white spot as shown in pic 7. Each corner has a swirled carving lea ding to open carvings separating back from the arms. The shaped hand rest offer incising and more burling. 800x600 A beautiful Antique Burl Walnut Three Piece Marble Top Bedroom Set made sometime during the 1800. They are very unique pieces. I have not been able to fine any to compare this set with. They have been in my family for well over 100 years. I know it was in my grandmother house in Montgomery Alabama. My grand mother was born in 1881. She told me it came from a plantation. This gorgeous High Back Bed is 86” in total height from the floor to the center top of the crown on the headboard, 80” in total length and 59”in total width. The inside(mattress area) dimensions are 54 ½” in width by 76” in length and easily accommodate a standard full-size mattress but of course you should always measure your mattress to ensure proper fit. Antique Serpentine Walnut Burl Wood Cabinet
Purchased this cabinet in a London market and I believe it is from the early 1900's. The walnut burl wood was replaced and the cabinet was french polished by a furniture craftsman in England. The cabinet is not pristine. But it is a very cool piece. Some of the veneer seams are slightly separated and the door veneer is split in several places(see photos) and also has some veneer popped up on the right side of the door. A quality furniture craftsman could repair or replace the finish on the door. Items on and in the cabinet are not included. 42 1/2 tall X 43 1/2 wide at the back X 15 1/2 deep I am listing this as local pick up. This fabulous Victorian sideboard features an abundance of beautiful carvings from top to bottom.the carved pediment having a shell carving at the center of raised panels of burl. Stick and ball, vertical slats,a carved fruit basket at the center top with floral& foliate carved supports with carved lions resting on the beautiful brown marble top. Intricate floral& foliate carvings on the base top and cabinet doors. This sideboard also has it original large wood casters intact on the base with what we believe to be the original beveled mirrors which are in beautiful antique condition with only some very minimal spotting.
