VINTAGE ANTIQUE 1800S RED& WHITE OAK LEAF APPLIQUE QUILT ~ no reserve to start a new paragraph use- This red and white cotton quilt is done in what I think is an Oak Leaf pattern. Each design is hand appliqued. Using a tiny blind stitch, onto a 15" block. This is a summer quilt with no batting and minimal quilting. The quilting is done only around the outer edge of each block. Hand quilted at 7 stitches per inch. Binding was formed by folding front to back and hand stitching. Size is 64" x 76"+/ There are scattered small stains and wear along the edge. Typical of a quilt of this age. STURDY ENOUGH FOR EVERYDAY USE. SPECTACULAR FOR DISPLAY! Check out my other items! I'm always happy to combine shipments to save you $$. Every late 1800s Singer Sewing Machine was sold with one of these accessory boxes. Box is clearly stamped with the patent date— February 19. 1889 and contained all the attachments for the Singer Sewing Machine. This fingerjoined box has a wonderful warm honey color. It’s 6 1/2” long x 3 1/4” tall x 3 1/3” deep. Easy to close, it just rolls up, snaps shut, and is lined with its original red burgundy velvet. Velvet is in excellent condition— color is strong and there are no splits or tears. From what I can see from the last picture(a reprint of the original manual for the#11 and#27 Singer Sewing Machine) a few items are missing, but still more complete than most listed on eBay. This is a northern red oak newel post top or it could be used as a finial. It is 5-31/32” tall. The small ball shape at the top is 1-7/8” in diameter. The fat part of the onion shape in the middle is 2-7/8” in diameter. The ring shape at the bottom is the same diameter. There is a hole drilled in the bottom that can be used for mounting. A double ended lag screw will be included with each part. These newel tops are for interior use only. They are made in Michigan by Acadian Woodworking. LLC. Nice old piece of Red Cross History here. Some nice old leather finger splint covers and some other remedies in there like mustard plaster. New skin, and some gauze. The box is exceptional and should be worth quite a bit. The box is solid and the hindges are in great shape. The book is on the inside cover like the day it was made in 1906. I get a laugh out of the picture on the cover of the book. Some lady in her old dust ruffle clothing and the old timer jumping up out of their chair to care for a lifeless body being brought in for help. Thank you Red Cross! as then known as Recrosco.

Victorian Oak Settee w/Carved Pierced Back and Top Rail Red & Cream Velvet
A beautiful settee that will add warmth. Comfort, and beauty to any decor. This Victorian era settee is constructed from oak. It is a solid sturdy piece in amazing condition for the age. The carved back crest of this has an ornate geometric design in a half circle at the center. There are two carved scrolling leaf sections flanking the half circle and topped with a gently scrolled& incised section of wood. There are tiny carved"wings" at the top of each side. These protrude out approximately 1.5" At the center back of the settee there is a stunning pierced& carved section with a wheat sheath design. The details on the carved areas show the skill of an amazing craftsman. This has a red velvet upholstery covering the seat and back. There are creamy gold colored patches on the upper corners of the seat back and on the ... morefront as well. The colors blend nicely together and the neutrality makes it an easy match with many other colors. There is also padded armrests with matching red velvet. There are two square sections on the back of this that are also covered with red velvet. This measures as follows: 48.5" wide from side to side at the top(this measurement was taken at the outside edge of the"wings" at the top) 38 7/8" height taken at the center back, 25.5" overall depth, 20.5" seat depth, 18" seat height, 24.5" arm height to the top of the padded area, There is barely any wear or soiling on the upholstery and this piece is in amazing condition for the age. It is apparent that this has been well cared for. There are some spots of white paint on the top back wood from this being rubbed against a wall. It measures 66" X 76" and is in excellent condition. With some background age spotting(see photos) and no wear. The quilting is SUPERB. With quilting around and within the applique and in grid designs in the background, all at an even 10-12 stitches to the inch. The back is white. The hand stitched binding is tan, and the batting is thin. The WONDERFUL DESIGN. VIBRANT RED, and GREAT QUILTING make this late nineteenth century beauty stand out!

Penn Antique Restoration. Antique Red Oak Arts& Crafts Fireplace Mantel. Handsome. Arts& Crafts style fireplace mantel salvaged from an old home in Southeastern Pennsylvania. It is made of oak and has a simple, straightforward design. Condition: The mantel was found in great shape with only a few small scrapes and scratches that will sand out during the prep-sanding phase before painting or refinishing. The front side of the right foot is missing. We could make and add a new one. Using old oak for $30. Normally. We strip mantels before posting them, however, the finish on this one is pretty good and you may opt to install it as is. The tricky part will be trying to stain the new side of the right foot to match the rest of the mantel. Penn Antique Restoration. 63"x50" Antique Red Oak Victorian Fireplace Mantel Exquisite. Antique, solid, red oak fireplace mantel salvaged from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The mantel has an exquisite Victorian style design. Each leg has a round. Tapered, half-fluted column with round base and ornate capital. Notice the carved acanthus leaves on the capitals, and their reeded sides-what great accents! The body has lovely acanthus and volute motif in the center sitting atop a stepped ledge with dental molding. The crown molding, directly below the shelf also has steps and dental detail. Restoration: At the point of salvage. The mantel was covered under several layers of paint, and a thick layer of stain and varnish. The body is made up of 2 boards, and the 2 boards separated from each other at some point(see photos under"Prior ... moreto restoration" In order to thoroughly remove the paint. Stain and finish, we had to take apart the whole mantel. We hand-scraped and sanded each piece, and then put them back together with new nails, drywall screws, and boards on the back acting as stiffeners. Now, the mantel is stronger and sturdier than ever! We rejoined the 2 boards of the body. And most of the applied carvings are intact. However, there are some pieces missing including a volute. The door has a solid red oak core covered with(1/4" thick red oak veneers and has a beautiful assortment of 9 beveled glass lites that really add a beautiful look to the door. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. The bottom rail, the top of the hinge stile and the dead bolt hole are all chipped; there is a crack in the top of the lock stile; the top 3 glass lites are all missing some pieces of molding; there is a piece of wood missing from the edge of the lock stile; and the bottom panel is slightly warped. Otherwise. This door is in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes-minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. I am saying Mottvill e style because it i s not marked at all and came from an area of central New York very near Mottville where these famous cha irs were made. It looks like it may have been painted re d at some point in it's li fe or at the very least has a serious red stain on the oak. The j oints are redder th an the rest. The cane or rush seat is in EXCELLENT condition leading me to believe it has been redone perhaps at some point in it's life. It is a very well put together chair and i s very sturdy. 19th c. Solid Red Oak Hand-Carved 3-Drawer Chest Magnificently Constructed
Just look at the details of the hand carvings and you can see the inconsistencies that denotes the mark of the carver's hand- the lovely'acorn on leaf' drawer pulls are all hand-carved. But no two are alike-they're like the snoflakes of drawer pulls. They all look alike. But they are all distinctively different. To me. This makes the piece quite sweet and charming. You'll see many of these types of carved pulls from time to time. But rarely will you see the drawers trimmed in the elongated oval like on these drawer fronts-VERY nice accent. There are wooden escutcheons on the three drawer. The top being triangular and the other two being round in shape. There is some very perfect cracking on the edge of the top. Just enough to be artistically welcome. But not enough to compromise the structure of the piece. The center drawer ... moreis on hinges. And opens up like a breadbox. The hand-carved skirt is impressive. The drawers had locks. Mostly missing However. What I find to be most impressive are the unusual joints used to construct the piece that can best be seen on the flat corners/edges of the body of the piece near the top and below that on the base-pretty awesome This is an authentic antique 19th century 3-drawer chest with hand-carved drawer pulls and ornamentation SIZE: 32 1/2" in width x 18 1/4" in depth x 32" in height WEIGHT: 70 lbs. When we found this wonderful. Antique, red oak, Empire style lamp/parlor table it had been chemically stripped of all of its original finish. We refinished it with a beautiful red oak stain and six hand rubbed coats of polycrylic to protect it and provide decades and decades of new life. Dining table - antique - red oak
Antique dining table. Red oak. Table doesn't have leafs but it can take them if some are made for it. When we got it it was painted bright blue with another layer of white buttermilk paint underneath which preserved the wood. It was made by Watertown Table Elite Co. Made sometime between 6-13-1899 to 10-1-1912. Made in Watertown Wisconsin. We had it stripped and restrained. We had a glass top made for it to make it level as one leaf sags just a hair. Antique Quarter Sawn Oak Red Eye Treadle Singer Sewing CABINET ONLY Very Nice
This auction is for a nice antique quarter sawn oak Singer sewing machine cabinet only. There is NO machine. This cabinet held a Singer Red Eye sewing machine which was dated 1919. There are six drawers. Three on each side and a center drawer in the middle. This cabinet comes with its original key which locks the center drawer and the two bottom drawers on each side of the cabinet. The cabinet is in nice condition. I have all of the original hardware/hinges/screws to attach the cabinet to you treadle base. The only flaws to mention is the finish is slightly rough in areas and there is roughness around where one of the hinges from the sewing machine screwed into the wood. Antique 19th c. Blue Calico Antique Oak Leaf and Reel Quilt click picture to enlarge I am dating this one to the mid to late 1800s. It has a beautiful pattern of oak leaf and reel. But this one has a fabulous background. The background is a soft blue with a tiny white print. It is very faded. The pattern is hand appliqued with turkey red print and overdyed green. The back of the quilt has a pieced white and red stripe pattern. Expertly hand quilted at 8 stitches per inch. Feathered wreaths and vines are quilted though out. It has a quadruple chain border and 3/4" grid quilting. Hand bound. Measures 96 1/2" x 77" This quilt. If not so lovely, could be considered a cutter. I just wouldn't have the heart to do it! There is fading and light spotting through out. We found tiny holes in the red fabric at the print design areas(from ... morethe iron that was used in the dye) Several tiny seam separations, binding wear, one small tear and a few pinholes as shown in photo's ~ so NOT for someone looking for like new. This quilt is very early. And has a wonderful design. It deserves to be cared for and loved! This quilt has been hand laundered and is clean and ready to display. 3.11 lbs. T.
