From the folded up cabinet as seen in picture 1. It is interesting to see it unfolded and become the bed as seen in picture 8. The entire piece is in great found condition. The wood is walnut with burl accents. There are no repairs. Cracks or damage that I have noticed. It may have had a crest on top at some time period. The bed mechanics and springs are all in great working condition. The two top drawers are functional and have the original brass pulls/hardware on them. Being offered for sale is this Beautiful Victorian Eastlake Walnut& Burl Walnut 2 pc Bedroom Set with Chocolate Marble circa 1880's. This lovely 19th century bedroom set features gorgeous raised panels of burl walnut. Incised carvings, rosettes and fine geometric carvings one expects in the Victorian Eastlake era. We believe this dresser to have its original wide beveled mirror, original brass pulls and the original beveled edge chocolate marble. The bed measures 5' 9 1/2 inches high at the head-board. 34 inches high at the foot-board, with an outside width of 61 inches and outside length of 76 inches. The inside mattress area measures 54 1/2 inches wide by 76 inches long and should accommodate a full size mattress set nicely, but one should always measure their mattress set to assure proper fit. The approximate weight of this ... morebed is 120 lbs. The dresser measures 84 inches in height to the top of the carvings on the mirror.30 inches in height to the top of the marble base, 46 inches wide, depth of the base is 20 1/2 inches and this dresser weighs approximately 200 lbs. The mirror, marble and base does separate to allow for easier handling during shipping. The wide beveled mirror measures 31 1/2 inches high by 33 1/4 inches wide. The head-board of the bed has been shortened at some point in time and done very well. The marble has no breaks or chips and is in wonderful antique condition. We believe the fancy brass pulls on the drawers to also be original. Also all the locks are intact on the drawers but we do not have they key. Very nice Empire 5-drawer dresser or chest with burl walnut veneer. This piece is solid. Clean and tight. Drawers are made of single-board, poplar(the grain in some boards is curly) with hand-planed bottoms,and handmade dovetail joints, Each drawer has a pair of turned, solid wood knobs. Top pair of drawers are large and deep with beautifully crafted ogee faces. Drawers do not stick at all and operate smoothly. Overall dimensions of piece are 43 inches wide by 21-3/8 inches deep by 44-3/4 inches tall. There is a charred spot on the top where a kerosene lamp tipped over burned the wood. There are a few small knicks on the edge of the veneer and has been repaired on one drawer face(see photos) Local pick up only.

antique burl walnut sidelock side lock dresser with gallery and ornate pulls wow
my aunt is 97 and wanted me to move this piece off her closed in back porchwhich is heated and cooled. it belonged to her grandmother. My great grandmother. i should keep it but i have no where to put it, my house is full of antiques and all my bedroom sets are complete sets with dresser, wash stand, wardrobe, bed etc. it has been well cared for and is in near mint condition. it has great burl walnut on the drawer fronts. the top and sides are solid walnut. it has never been refinished as far as i know. the drawer pulls are wonderful. some of them were a bit loose and any that needed firming up i have reglued. it has the original brass casters with double wheels on each caster and moves very nicely. it has a nice gallery on the top. aunt beth can not find the key for the sidelock, but thinks she can. i do not have a great deal of confidence ... morethat she will. she is a bit absent minded these days it seems. all of the drawers function well and besides a missing key there are no other issues to report other than there are a few light water rings on the top along with a few small scratches none of which take away from the beauty and usefulness of this sidelock. i am 5 ft. 11 inches tall and can not see any of these issues while looking at the piece. i have to get on a step stool to see them. again they are not an issue just merely add patina to the piece. the top is pictured and doubtful anything is obvious enough to show up in the photos. i intend to remove the lock and have a new key made. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyers expense. these sidelocks are hard to come by and demand a fairly high price. i am starting it at a figure 1500 less than one not as nice on ebay is listed for.

This is an outstanding renaissance revival walnut pier mirror circa 1870. The pier mirror has its original finish which has aged to a wonderful patina. There are burled walnut veneer and gold guilt accents that add an impressive appearance to this stunning pier mirror. The pier mirror is one piece. It measures 108" tall. 42" wide at the top, 39 1/2" wide at the center, and 41" wide at the floor. It is 7" deep at the top and 16 1/2" deep at the center of the scalloped marble. The mirror itself is 74" tall and 31 1/2" wide. The base portion is 41" wide and 16 1/2" deep. The marble is 33" wide and 12 1/2" deep at the center. The mirror stands flush to the wall with no attachment to the wall although attaching it to the wall with a hook and wire like a frame could be done. Antique Rococo/ Louis XV Walnut Burl Wood 2 over 2 Four Chest of Drawers Magnificent piece made by The Royal Company by Robert Irwin Co. The company was known for its"royalty designs" and finest craftsmanship using fancy woods and unique veneers to showcase stunning designs. This piece is part of a whole bedroom set but being offered also as an individual piece. Made of walnut burl wood which was the most decorative veneer used in the period and much sought after and considered a"prized possession" It also features a masterful intricate marquetry design. Additionally it shows carved details. Overall largest measurements are approximately 56" wide x 22" deep x 37" high The style is French Rococo in the fashion of the 18th century French royal court and Louis XV and it dates between 1915 and 1925. The small ... moredrawer on the right is compartmentalized and features a hiding compartment. Please note that one of the corners shows a repair(last picture) and there is a very tiny area where a veneer piece smaller than 1/8" is missing(first full drawer bottom right seen as"white" spot) In a scale of 1 to 10 and considering its age I would say it is a 9. Being offered for sale is this fabulous set of 3 Victorian Walnut& Burl Walnut Parlor Chairs with Carved Ansonia Heads attributed to John Jelliff circa 1875. Set set of chairs has a commanding presence and feature beautiful detailed carvings one expects from fine Victorian pieces of the 19th century. The 2 side chairs each measures 42 inches in total height from the floor to the very top of the back.With a total width of 21 3/4 inches, a seat width of 18 1/2 inches, seat depth of 18 inches and seat height to the floor measures 17 inches and each side chair weighs approximately 25 lbs. The arm chair measures 44 1/2 inches in height from the floor to the top of the carved back. Arm to arm width measures 28 1/2 inches, seat width measures 20 inches, seat depth measures 22 inches and seat height to the floor measures 16 inches and this chair ... moreweighs approximately 35 lbs. These chairs are covered in a vintage peach-apricot velvet fabric with matching gimp trim. The fabric has no rips or tears but does show some light fading and some tiny speckles are on the seat of the armchair. While these chairs do have a commanding presence when scrutinized closely you can see that each chair does have some old repairs. Ie: each side chair does have a old repaired front left leg, one of the side chairs has an old repair to the hip rests and the arm chair has old repairs where the arms join to the back. I have tried to show some of these areas in the pictures. These three chairs are priced with the apologies in mind as just one of these chairs would normally be more than the price I am asking for all three. IF old repairs bother you please do not buy these chairs as they do have repairs that have been done to each one over the years.but they are still beautiful chairs from the 19th century attributed to one of the finest makers of that era.John Jelliff and his pieces are highly sought after. Stunning Wardrobe/ Armoire Burl walnut wardrobe in classic Louis XV/XVI style. Carved decorative feet and wood trim with Marquetry inlaid doors and serpentine front and sides. Measures approximately 70' tall and 80' wide and 30' deep(measured at the center) The large middle compartment has 4 drawers at the bottom. All with serpentine fronts. The two side compartments have hanging rods. The armoire can be broken into separate compartments for transportation. A variety of age appropriate wear is present(various bumps and scrapes) Back panel not present. Door and drawer pulls appear to be original hardware. There are dainty details and plenty of storage space in this beautiful wardrobe from the 1920s or‘30s. This elegant burl walnut antique ... moredouble-door carved wardrobe dates from the 1920s or 1930s. This exquisite model features Queen Anne Chippendale pad feet on the base. A little carved crest on top, picture frame molding on both doors, and carved leaves on the corners. The carvings are made of Bakelite or celluloid, one of the items they started using during the period over in England. This wardrobe comes with a key, and the original hardware is all intact. There is a molded dome top, 45-degree angle beveled corners, and when the doors are opened a completely open storage space is exposed, with just a hatbox area on the side. Two hanging rods offer plenty of storage on the inside, which measures 20 inches deep, and 65 inches tall. The outside dimensions are 50 inches wide, 23 inches deep and 80 inches to the top of the carved crest. All this is finished in a medium amber color. Beautiful Victorian Walnut & Burl Marble Top Drop Center Dresser ~ c1875
Being offered for sale is this fantastic Victorian Walnut& Burl Walnut Marble Top Drop Center Dresser circa 1875. This beautiful 19th century dresser features an abundance of gorgeous carvings and burl walnut accents on the crest of the tall dressing mirror.The original period brass pulls, period dove-tailed ends on the drawers and all the casters intact on the base. This splendid dresser measures a total height from the floor to the top of the mirror of 92 inches(7 ft 8 inches) A total width of 51 1/2 inches, height from the floor to the top of the dresser sides measures 36 inches, and height from the floor to the marble at the center measures 23 inches, with a total depth at the base of 20 inches and this dresser weighs approximately 150 lbs. The marble at the center measures 22 inches wide by 14 1/2 inches deep. The vintage replacement ... moremirror measures 47 inches in height by 19 inches wide. This dresser has four smaller drawers(two on each side) over the two larger ones at the base. All the locks are intact on the drawers but we do not have the key. The vintage replacement mirror is in wonderful condition and the original white inserted marble at the center of the dresser has no issues we can find. Please note the picture showing the back of the dresser shows that some small metal braces were placed on the back at some point in time to help secure the mirror portion to the sides.not an issue but wanted to point this out.
