Extremely Rare Ibanez AM400, MIJ, White with Ebony board
Here is your chance. And it will not last long. This guitar was the flagship model of the AM Artstar series during the late 80"s. It is extremely rare and difficult to find. I have owned it since 96. A record for me. Unfortunately for me it has to go. It is an amzing. Versitle guitar light wt. very comfortable and easy to play. Neck has a bit more meat than most other Ibanez guitars, very similar to vintage Les Paul. It is great in every category, but I am trying to hang on to my solid carved jazz box and my 74 LP signature hollow body. While the AM400 out performs the LP hands down, the LP does an intrinsic value to me personally that out weighs the performance. Pick ups are not orignal, they Kent Armstrongs PAF custom wound and they sound great. It is a no return for cosmetic issues. I will post more pics tonight. This guitar is previously owned but still in great working ... morecondition. The serial number on this guitar is 90820689 and it is an American made guitar. The guitar is dated back to March 23. 1990 and was constructed at the Nashville plant. The guitar is ebony black and has a beautiful finish. The neck is straight and the frets look great. No cracks, dings, or holes anywhere to be found. The headstock still looks fantastic as well, but the guitar will have to be re-tuned. The guitar is previously owned and it was used, so there is a bit of cosmetic damage on the guitar. If you hold the guitar to certain light you can see a lot of smuding and surface scratches. If just looking at it straight, it looks fine. The paint on the guitar is not faded nor are the numbers on the volume keys. The pick-up as a little about of corrosion on it from storage, but if the strings are removed and the pick up is cleaned, I believe it will come right off. And when we realized that nobody had really played it in at least 10 years, we decided that it was time for us to part with it. In the early 1970s. My Japanese parents had a dream that I would become a concert pianist like my aunt who studied classical music at Julliard. High school came along. And I fell in love with the violin. So. The piano stopped being played. On a scale of 1~10. I would say that the piano is a 8.5~9. The original stool's wood is in decent condition with some marks here and there due to usage. The leather is definitely used. But it is not that bad. I feel that it probably needs to be reupholstered eventually. Overall, the stool is probably in 6 out of 10 condition. ... moreI am overly detail oriented. But I feel that it is important to describe in detail any marks or blemishes. To the left of the keyboard, there are some small marks that are not evident at first glace, but I can see them. These do not have to be touched up. But you could if you wanted to. There are some minor scratches here and there just from being around for 40 years. I think that these can be buffed out. Also. On the inside, there are a few marks on the metal part of the piano(see photos) I think that a good cleaning should take care of these. For the most part. The piano is in VERY good condition. There might be a minor mark here. But in my opinion, there is nothing that is very noticeable. The piano has not been professionally cleaned or tuned in 10 years or more. But the successful buyer is going to need to have it cleaned and tuned after it is moved anyway. So. This really should not matter. On the inside of the piano.
