Art Deco Sterling Band Ring Emboss Edge Silver Channel Set OLD Sparkly Paste R/S
Up for auction is a vintage finger ring. It is a 2mm wide band style made in silver with embossed outer edges done up in a stylized bead and dart type design. A row of 1mm round faceted stones of glass or crystal, clear or white, are channel set, I think you will recognize it as an'anniversary' type piece which is most likely of the Period, it could be later but it looks right to me. The stones are all present, set upen-back so clear with some sparkle; with a 10x loupe I see two chipped stones out of a total of 35 others(the best I can count) These stones are hand cut with various size tables and overall so small I do not find the two nips necessarily distracting since they, the nips, are unseen with the naked eye when the ring is worn, follow- just there and important to mention. The ring is well rounded and shows with some linear ... moredistortion from continued use, see Pic 6 and observe its slight side to side curvature; the channel's edges also undulate a bit, best shown in Pic 7; and also noted is wear and/or softening to the bead decoration found along the outer most margins. Sounds terrible but all of this is more easily seen in the enlarged images than when the piece is inspected in person. The inner opening for wear is 16.mm(somewhere around a US size 6) and is not readily resizeable. Please refer to images for your take on age, design and condition. I come across similarly styled bangles with embossed edges and rhinestone or paste stones if that is what they are but not very often the rings.and never one with all of its stones such as this one, even with the two as-is. I do think it to have some age and the size is right- this pretty little piece will add some glimmer to a stack of thin bands if you tend to wear several stacked up at any give time. Vintage Brow Band Horse Show Headstall--Lots of Silver Rope Edge Conchos
This is a very stunning headstall-all the silver is in great condition-the leather is very clean-supple and ready to use-the headstall is 40 in. long as shown-the cheek pieces can be taken up or let out 2 in. each way-there is also the top buckle adjustment which can be taken up or let out 2 in. each way-so there is lots of adjustment available-the cheek is 1-1/4 in. wide where the conchos are(conchos are 1 in. wide) same on browband area-the loop back conchos on the side area are 1-1/2 in.wide-the silver pieces between conchos are 1-5/8 in. long-all the conchos and silver are all in great condition and the silver tips are all there-there is no mark on the silver-thanks for looking.
