The Rosewood fingerboard is in great shape. The action& set up are superb. The beautiful see thru blonde finish is original with no overspray. The very nice ash body has such a great sound. There are some minor scratches and tiny dings on the guitar. There are a couple of thin marks from a red marker on the bottom edge of the body front…this is so minimal. The guitar weighs 8 lbs 11.3 oz with both covers on. The frets have lots of life left. This is a particularly nice guitar and it is hard to find one with a Rosewood fingerboard. This is a used acoustic guitar that was hand made by Teneessee luthier Tim Metcalf in 2009. It has Brazilian Rosewood back. Sides, rosette and binding and an Italian Spruce top. The neck is Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard that has Mother of Pearl dot inlays. It is currently strung with a fresh set of Curt Mangan Light(11– 52) Phospohor Bronze strings and comes with the original Canadian made hard case. 25” scale length and 1 ¾” bone nut 10 ¾” upper bout and 14 ¼” Lower bout 18 ¾ long body is 3 ½” and the overall length is 39 ¼” I consider the action to be low and the neck to have a soft V shape. Brazilian Rosewood Parlor Guitar Regal? Player Ready!
Not for the collector but great for a player. This is an old(probably 1900-1920) Probably Regal parlor guitar, 12 3/4" lower bout, 24" scale, 1 3/4" nut. Top is solid spruce. Sides and back are solid Brazilian rosewood. This one has been through the ringer but is ready to go. The sides and top have cracks. The side cracks received a very amateur repair generations ago. The top cracks have been glued and cleated. Rough cleats have been glued to the side cracks. The top was originally ladder braced, but has been rebraced in a scalloped x braced pattern similar to Martin's. There is a new Brazilian rosewood bridge. The repairs are not restoration quality, but they are solid. The ebony fretboard has been radiused to 12" with new frets and a new bone nut installed. New Stewart Macdonald tuners. It has a very light oil finish, ... morejust enough to protect the wood from moisture. The good news is that it is a blast to play, loud, clear, responsive and built with top notch, aged materials that one can no longer get. Action and intonation are good(3/32 at 12th fret with string depressed at first fret) and there is room to lower the bridge saddles. It is strung with 13's with no deformation of the top. Up for sale is one of my prized possesions. My 1953(year of my birth) CF Martin D-28 featuring an Engelmann spruce top and straight grained Brazilian Rosewood. I purchased this wondeful guitar from Eric Schoenberg in 2001. Eric had been looking for a"53 for me for several years. This rare D-28 is one of a batch of 14 that were made with Engelmann spruce tops. I have a dear friend who used to play bluegrass with Bill Monroe. When he listened to my'39, 40 and'53 D-28's(without looking) he chose the'53 for strength,clarity, and tone quality. I couldn't agree more, this is a robust Martin. The guitar has original finish. Tuners, case, pickguard, and so forth. I am an experienced repair person and I believe that some of the areas that have pick wear have been drop filled with nitrocelluous lacquer and lightly bufffed. ... moreThe areas are below the bridge side of the pickguard and above the headstock side of the sound hole. This is a Goodall Rosewood Standard cutaway with a Sitka spruce top. And Koa binding. As you can see from the pics, it's in great shape. I am selling this for a friend of mine who has used it for worship for several years. Musikraft Fender Stratocaster Neck - Maple / Rosewood - 22 Stainless Frets
This is a Musikraft custom Strat neck I ordered I believe around 6 years ago. Construction is quartersawn maple with a rosewood board(no dots) The finish on the back of the neck is in between a satin and gloss. Frets are 6105-sized(medium-jumbo) STAINLESS STEEL. The frets have zero wear. And the board has very light wear. There is a small chip in the headstock under the 6th tuner(occurred when the tech drilled the hole) You can see it in the headstock picture. Also, I can feel the little bit of glue at the end of the skunk stripe. You can see this in the picture. The skunk stripe itself is perfectly sanded and flush with the back of the neck, but the little bit of expanded glue at the very end of the stripe can be felt slightly. I know it may be picky, but I'm a pretty picky musician, so I would rather disclose any possible thing I would ... morenotice if I were a buyer. The tuners(Fender MIM) string-tree and nut all come with the neck. I'm sorry I don't remember the exact neck carve, but I believe it is what would be considered a"Fat C" shape. Vintage BOOGIE BODIES Warmoth STRAT Guitar Neck - Van Halen - Maple Rosewood
I bought this Boogie Bodies/ Warmoth neck from Ken Warmoth in about 1980. I had the intention of building a guitar. At the time the Warmoth's had just parted ways with Lynn Ellsworth at Boogie Bodies. And this neck was one of the pieces that he had on hand when I came to his place. Ken Warmoth was living in a funky older house in Puyallup, Washington and had a small shop adjacent to the funky older house. I can't remember any details beyond that, other than Warmoth must have explained to me that he had worked for Boogie Bodies and was doing his own thing now. I do remember that the"showroom" for Warmoth's business was one of the front rooms in the funky older house he was living in. I thought it was all pretty cool. At that time Boogie Bodies was a name that. As a local and a guitar player, I knew. I knew the connection ... morewith Boogie Bodies. Charvel, and a young guy named Van Halen. I also had a friend at the time who had a Boogie Bodies Strat style guitar. Anyway. That's the story on this neck so far. If you're into guitar parts"history" or just looking for a nice neck for your Strat style guitar, then this old neck might appeal to you. Check out this little bit of info on another old Boogie Bodies guitar. Obviously. This neck was never installed on a guitar body(the mounting holes have yet to be drilled) It has a brass nut that was set in there a long time ago(it's not glued in and comes out easily) Tuner holes are closest to 3/8" 12/32" The nickel frets are a little taller than your standard Medium Jumbo. But they are not quite as wide as a standard Medium Jumbo. Possibly a 6150, aka"Standard Jumbo" fret. The neck has brass side marker dots) and mother of pearl dot inlays. The truss rod works! As you can see. The woods used are simply gorgeous. Hard rock maple with a lot of flame in it. Fingerboard is a very rich reddish brown rosewood. Possibly Brazilian, who knows? Email me! Here's a coveted Grand Concert with cutaway in Indian rosewood and honey-colored AAA-grade Sitka spruce. These RGC's are balanced and clear. With a voice that perfectly exemplifies James's tone. It's modern and smooth, with lots of complexity and overtones. Definitely has the 3D thing going on. The action is perfect- right at 3/32" and nice and snappy. Priced very well because of a cosmetic issue described ... morebelow. Comes with original hardshell case. Cosmetically. This guitar is in very good condition, with the exception of a repaired finish chip by the endpin. Someone didn't know how to do an endpin jack installation, and they took out a small chip by the endpin, so my tech filled it in with rosewood and refinished the area. You can see a small darker spot now, but the finish is smooth, and it's not that noticeable without flash brightening the area. Otherwise the guitar shows very minor signs of handling, including a tiny bit of wear on top of the headstock. 1965 Martin D28 guitar, Brazilian Rosewood
One/original owner of this fine. 1965 Martin D-28, Brazilian rosewood back and sides guitar. The serial number is 203433. It has a full, big sound which is expected in a 48 year old guitar of this quality. It is in excellent condition for its age. It was played a lot for the first 20 years and then not so much since. It has two small cracks in the Sitka spruce top(visible in the photos) one between the pickguard and the bridge and the second one between the two spruce halves from the bridge to the bottom of the lower bout. see photo) There is a very small crack on the bass side at the waist of the side(photo attempted but not visible) I can feel it, but I can't see it. The finish is all original, as is the neckset, headnut, bridge, saddle and frets. The bridge was reglued and the frets dressed by a luthier at Sho-Bud Guitars in Nashville ... morein the middle 70's. One Grover tuner failed so the entire set was replaced with gold plated Grover tuners of the same design. A"Plate Mate" was added under the bridge to help guard against wear of ball-end strings on the bridge plate holes under the soundboard. It can be easily removed if desired. An electric plug-in end-pin was installed, but is now unwired. Snowflake inlays replaced the dot inlays on the fingerboard. There is a small amount of belt buckle rash, as is expected on an instrument of this age(visible in the pix) and a couple of superficial scuffs, which can be buffed out. The case is the original hard shell case, the duct tape is included at no additional fee. I hate to sell this fine, aged and big sounding D-28, but my hand health prevents me from continuing to play. My loss will be your gain.

1964 Harmony adjustable rosewood bridge guitar body tailpiece Silvertone Bobkat
Up for a NO RESERVE AUCTION. High bid wins, is a 1964 Silvertone 1476 Silhouette Harmony Bobkat guitar body(I think) Adjustable rosewood bridge, chrome tailpiece and the strap buttons. The finish shows some wear, mostly on the edges, and actually is pretty nice for a Harmony made product of this age. The Brazilian rosewood adjustable bridge is excellent, and the tailpiece is real nice. I got this with the pickguard/pickup assembly dated 1964, and that is how I dated it, but never had the neck, so again, I am just taking an educated guess on exactly what body it is. Just arrived(USED) A very clean used(circa 2000) Collings DS2H. In EIRW with Sitka top and a custom(narrower than the standard 1 and 13/16" 1 and 3/4" nut width and 2 and 3/16" saddle spacing with classic herringbone purfling and slotted headstock. The big daddy of dreadnought guitars with the 12 fret neck and volume and bass enough to share some with friends. Great for all types of playing: flatpicking, rhythm, jazz, and fingerstyle! Really! Vintage Mitsuru Tamura classical guitar model 1500. This is a solid wood classical built by Mitsuru Tamura in 1979. He was known for choosing perfect tone woods. The craftsmanship is top of the line. And although the Tamura Bros. are lesser known, their work is on par with some of the good Spanish makers. Tone and projections is very good. The top is tight grain spruce, back and sides are figured solid rosewood, very nicely matched. Neck is mahogany, fingerboard rosewood. The tuners are reminiscent of good quality Japnanese makers like Kohno. There are a few repaired cracks as viewed to the left of the bridge seen in the first picture. Taylor 420R Acoustic Electric Rosewood Guitar
Here is a very nice Taylor 420R guitar. I am the original owner. I purchased this guitar sometime in the mid 90’s and it was my main guitar for about 10 years. I purchased a Taylor 710 in 2005 and it’s been my go to instrument since then. My 420R just sits in its case most of the time so it needs a good home. This guitar served me well for many years. It has a Highlander iP1 pickup installed and sounds very nice plugged in to a sound system or great just going acoustic. This is an absolutely gorgeous 2007 Collings D2H Brazilian guitar with a German Spruce top in excellent+++ condition. The width at the nut is 1 11/16. This guitar has a very commanding presence with balanced tone and clarity. The German Spruce adds a lush. Defined tone without sacrificing clarity at high volumes. We are selling this early Washburn New Model Parlor Guitar"as is" It will need some repairs made but basically it is very sound and nothing that cannot be fixed. Issues: There is a 3 inch crack on the back on the upper right side. A 3 1/4 inch crack in the fretboard from 13 to 18, one place with missing binding, and some wear on the back of the neck. The original bridge has been replaced a long time ago with what I believe is a spider bridge. There are numerous marks from fingernails and thumb but nothing horribly extensive. And they appear to have been touched up with French polish at some point. The guitar has been played very little in the last 10 years or so. And just to emphasize again. The tone quality and playability of this guitar are unaffected by the splits in the rosewood back. The solid spruce top allows the guitar to speak with a voice larger than one would expect. As you can see in the pictures, the back an bottom are simply stunning. The deep, rich rosewood provides a stunning contrast to the most gorgeous quilted maple that you can imagine. The mahogany neck with a 1-11/16" wide nut is extremely comfortable, the action is low and the intonation is spot on. The sealed tuners are gold with black buttons, they work smoothly and hold tightly. Takamine calls this style of body a"New Yorker" It is not"little" like a parlor guitar, but this isn't a dreadnaught either. The upper bout is 10-5/8" wide, the lower bout is 14-1/4" ... moreThis size body is a fingerpicker's delight. The tone is balanced, articulate, and very, very sweet. I'm sure that is in part due to the 25-1/2" scale length. The TP-4T pickup system is excellent, with three bands of equalization, shelved just where you want them to be. The onboard tuner is just an additional plus. This instrument is well set up. I have polished the frets and conditioned the fretboard and bridge. The truss rod was checked and adjusted and the nut slots were polished and lubed. I tested the electronics and everything works exactly as it should. It plays very well. With the action set to 3/32” at the 12 th fret. This guitar has never been previously sold andhas no player's wear at all. It Is without dings or blems. I've inspected it inside and out. And can find no evidence of repair at all. Sadly, Takamine has chosen to stop production of this model. This auction is for a set of 3 Vintage Solid Rosewood Danish Stacking Tables. The largest one measures approx. 23 3/4" by 14 7/8" and stands approx. 19" high. The middle one is approx. 20 3/8" by 13 1/2" and stands 18" high. The smallest is approx. 17" by 11 1/16" and is approx. 17" high. They have sturdy legs and there are no splits. Cracks, shrunken seams or repairs. The surfaces are very good but do show minor signs of age and wear. I have not applied any oil or other enhancements to them in any way. SUPERB LATE 19TH CENTURY CHINESE ROSEWOOD AND MARBLE POT / VASE STAND
My father bought this Chinese rosewood pot/ vase stand many years ago from an antique shop in York and was told it dated to the late 19th century. Measuring 12.5 inches high and 12.5 inches in diameter across the top. It has four beautiful carved panels in between each stylized and carved leg. There is a half pea shaped carved border around a pink marble centre which is in good condition with no damages. The wood which I believe is rosewood has a lovely patina which only comes with age. In good condition there is an age crack to the wood on a foot as shown and a loose panel between two of the feet which is just a loose joint. Vintage Grammer H-10 acoustic 000, solid Brazilian rosewood, Larrivee case!
This is a rare and beautiful Grammer 000 from Nashville. TN, made in the late sixties-early seventies. It has the same dimensions as the Grammer H-10(Merle Haggard model) but without the batwing, signature head, sporting instead a more subdued headstock w/mahogany overlay. The inner label is missing(you can see the glue residue) but the serial number is stamped 5752 on the neck block. The guitar's top is solid Alpine spruce. Very nice indeed, and the back and sides are beautifully figured SOLID Brazilian rosewood. The fretboard is black, black ebony, very glass-like and smooth; neck is mahogany. The bridge is either dark Brazilian or ebony with a touch of figure. The original nut and saddle are bone; the tuners are the original Grovers and work perfectly. The pickguard was missing so I made up a new one in the same shape and color as ... morethe original. All fret markers are the original MOP, while the bridge pins have been upgraded to bone w/ebony dots. This is a VERY solidly built guitar and has stood the test of time well: straight neck. Solid seams, only slight fret wear on the first 3-4 frets, treble side. There is NO wear on the board at all, and the bridge is firm. The original finish is lightly checked over all and has the usual nicks and nacks(see photos) The only cosmetic issue of note is an area of buckle rash on the back about the size of a softball, confined to the finish(see closeup) This is a great. Rootsy sounding American guitar with strong fundamentals, very muscular and rich in the mid-ranges, excellent for flatpicking or Travis-picking. Haggard was in his Jimmy Rodgers phase when they designed this for him and you can hear it in the tone. It has the traditional slothead, side mounted Grovers, and a very wide neck(almost 2" at the nut) The action(about 3/32" is great and so is the playability. I discovered that this guitar slides into a Larrivee case dead perfectly( no movement) so I gave it new high end Larrivee case. These cases are bulwarks and cost $200. So remember that when you off

Ibanez Roadstar II Guitar Neck Rosewood Maple Floyd 1980s Vintage RG Japan Edge
Mid 1980s Ibanez Roadstar II neck. Oiled Bare maple(Factory option) with rosewood board and red painted headstock. The floyd shelf is factory and I believe thisneck was from one of the very first Edge equipped models. Comes with the neck plate as pictured. The truss rod works. the neck is not unevenly warped so it will work as it should. Frets show some moderate wear from play over the year(1st-9th)s but can be leveled and polished. I dont believe this neck needs a re-fret but that is my opinion. There are no cracks breaks or repairs. The pegholes and nut holes are factory. there are some of the usual string dings on the nut but it should clamp and lock no problem. What you see is what you get. Nice looking grain on the Rosewood and back of neck. The skunk stripe seems to be very very slightly lower that the rest of the neck on the headstock end. I can feel a very slight ridge at the seam. I don't know if it shipped like that from the factory or if it's the age of the neck. No other issues that I can see. Neck seems straight and the truss rod seems to work. Frets have very little wear. 1964 Fender Jazz Bass, Brazilian Rosewood, Clay Dots, Olympic White, NOT reissue
1964 Fender Jazz Bass. In excellent condition. The bass features a refinished body and matching head stock face, by Fiesta Finishes™, in traditional nitrocellulose lacquer, using traditional techniques. The rest of the neck features original finish though mostly worn off the playing area. Pickups are Lindy Fralin Vintage, and the bass features newer original spec CTS pots from 1984. The new electronics function perfect, no loss of tone due to out of spec pickups or scratchy, dirty pots. The sound is amazing from this bass. The neck has an older professional refret with slight wear to the frets, but the instrument plays wonderfully. There is the common small crack near the E tuner, however in this case the crack was caused by a set of modern tuners that were on the bass sometime in the past. Therefore, the crack does NOT emanate from the original ... morescrew hole now used for the original tuners. Hence it is under no stress, and has been professionally repaired, so will be a non issue going forward, as the base plate of the original tuner acts to stabilize the area, rather than further stress it. The crack does not go through the head stock. It is limited to the back only. The bass features its original body and neck(with finish as noted) Original bridge, original neck plate, original control plate, original tone cap, original jack, original nitrate tortoise pick guard(note two small additional holes from moving the finger rest) original tuners, original string tree, original knobs, etc. The serial number on the bass is L36XXX. And the neck date is MAY 64. The bass weighs 8 lbs. 15 oz. without covers, enough mass to give great tone, and balance the instrument, but not so heavy as to be a burden on the shoulder. I bought this Guild GAD F130R in December and did what I have done many times before upgraded it. My plan was New Grover Sta-Tite 18/1 Tuners and a Saddle Piezo pickup. The Bridge/ Pickup Install Bridge Crack: The last 7-8 years I have been using soundhole Fishman type acoustic pickups and have not ... moredone a Piezo in a while. I read the instructions and was set to go. I drill out the endpin with a good step bit. No problem. I set the piezo and filed down the saddle to make room for the piezo height, all looked clean and good to go. Then I strung it up with a set of 13-56(I always use 13-56's) and as I was tuning up the g string I heard big snap! I had left the saddle to high and not set in the slot right and the string tension broke off and small slice from front of the saddle, see pics. At this point I was upset but really thought I could repair on my own either by gluing and clamping OR if needed replacing the bridge. BUT I did not get the chance. The Headstock Crack: OK round 2. As I was looking into buying a new bridge I decided to install the new tuners. I had also bought some new right size bushing, or I thought so. I took off the stock tuners and removed the stock bushing and did a dry fit on the tuners and screws and all lined up perfect. A few years ago I converted a old C-clamp into a bushing setter with some cork and duct tape and have used it many, many times with no trouble. They felt a little tight but they always do. 1969 Martin D28 Rosewood Acoustic Guitar
Here we have a 1969 Rosewood Martin D28 Acoustic. Plays amazingly well. nice. Low action. Straight neck. Has 3 thin cracks on the top behind the bridge that I was recommended to leave alone as it didn't effect the sound and are very stable due to their location directly over the bracing. There is another scratch or thin crack on the top near the low E side of the neck that doesn't appear to go all the way through, as well as a similar crack in the high E side of the side of guitar(as is shown in pics) Has fret wear and very little fingerboard wear near the B string on the 2nd and 3rd fret. Pick guard is curling on the edges. Some small dings and light scratching and a little wear. An excellent playing instrument, a player's guitar. Great sound, easy to play. A. C. Fairbanks MANDOLIN c.1900 READY To PLAY Brazilian ROSEWOOD Spruce EBONY EC
This listing is for an extremely clean A. C. Fairbanks mandolin. All original, set up and ready to play. From online articles, and some ebay friends, I've determined this must have been built around 1900. There are no cracks or damage. The action is smooth all the way up the neck. Not too shabby for 110+ years! Very nice ivoroid-black-ivoroid binding, and the brazilian rosewood is just naturally stunning. The sound is not quite as loud as a modern carved-top mando. But the tonal range is very nice- with a good resonance and a bright, clear voice. The number 60, stamped on the back of the head, apparently indicates this is the Regent style.
