Here is a very nice STANLEY BAILEY No.3C CORRUGATED SMOOTH PLANE. Measures 9 1/4" long x 2 5/32" wide. The Stanley blade is full length with very sharp by fresh sharpened. The thick sides body and all other parts are in very good condition with no chip, break, hitting or crack. The rosewood knob and handle are in excellent condition. It has embossed Bailey No.3 in front of the body and MADE IN USA in back. It is in very nice condition plane. Will be glad to combined package to save the postage.

Explains the Chariot or Scroll Planes as: The wooden version(shown as boxwood) resembles the eighteenth-century Scandinavian Skav or Dutch Schaaf. With rounded heel and scroll-shaped front grip curved backward like the toe of a Persian slipper. The plane being offered here has all of these characteristics. A higher pitched iron, and an insert for the bed. The body is boxwood, and the wedge is rosewood. It has a tight, straight, unchipped mouth. I sharpened the iron to see if this little guy is more than just a"potted plant" It has good steel. As it took a nice edge and cut oak well. The high pitch helped. Martin 00-21, 1967 Vintage, Brazilian Rosewood, w/Martin Hardcase
Martin USA 00-21(Grand Concert) Made in 1967, Serial# is 228XXX. One of the last Martins with a Brazilian Rosewood body. This guitar was extremely well kept and has never had any significant body, neck or head repairs; the binding is tight and in excellent condition. This guitar just came back from a complete renewal by a authorized Martin Luthier. It got a neck reset, bridge reglue, a new handmade pickguard installed(nobody stocks a replacement in the original black, which was shriveled up beyond usefulness) a new nut, some regluing of teh internal bracing, some fretwork and a buffing to bring out the shine in the original finish- total bill was $880.00. In short, its 100% ready to play for several more decades. The only things that keep me from calling this guitar in high excellent condition are a couple of minor dings on the neck(see photos) ... moreAnd there is an empty screwhole where there may have been a strap nut at one time. Call it low/medium excellent condition. The case is a new Martin 00-21 hardcase. This should generate a lot of serious bidding on ebay. So I encourage the first bidder to seriously consider the Buy it Now. I have seen this model sell for over $6,000 recently and a vintage guitar retailer would probably ask $10,000 plus. Pretty Victorian box veneered in rosewood with a mother of pearl central cartouche and escutcheon plate. There are the original brass stop hinges and a working lock with key. Inside is the original tray and lining. Including the dark pink silk. The pocket on the underside of the lid is also covered in the original ruched silk and has a little brass catch. The silk is in very good undamaged condition although there are a few spots on the compartment covers. The exterior of the box has a nice grain and colour and is in very good condition. There is a repair to the veneer on the right side. Bottom corner, but this is very inconspicuous. VICTORIAN GLOVE BOX DECORATED WITH ROSEWOOD AND SATINWOOD BANDS
A most attractive Victorian glove box with rosewood and satinwood banding. A mother of pearl vacant cartouche to the lid and an engraved mother of pearl escutcheon. The inside is lined with watered silk which is in good order though slightly marked as shown. Inside the lid is a band for sliding through a pair of glove stretchers; the stitching has come away but could be restitched. Picture 4 shows a brown section under the left hinge; this is where a small piece of the lining paper has worn. It is not damaged wood. The brass hinges and brass lock are fine. The key is missing. Picture 6 is one end; the opposite end is not shown but is in excellent condition. The wood has a lovely patina and makes a wonderful display piece. 9 5/8" wide. 3 3/4" deep and 2 7/8" high.

This is a beautiful mid 18th century rosewood carving statue of an old man with a cane. The eyes are inset and are ivory. There are two imperfections- there is a piece of the wood at the base that has come off. Has not been repaired. It is seperate. Seen on last photo. Sorry poor image, had to scan it. The second is the very top part of his cane- it has broken off, but was missing when I purchased over 40 years ago. Hard to see unless looking for it. For it's age. All of them were awarded from different ships upon visits to messes or officers or they were given to ships on the occasion of port visits. They date back to WW2 and up to the 1990's. Many are solid brass, many are aluminum and many of them are rare. Most are US, some are Commonwealth and some are from Germany and Asia to Europe. A little bit of something for everybody. The more I got ... morelooking at this little plaque. The more I realized what a gem it is. The NATO Defence College badge appears to be silver plated and is enamelled with rich blue and white enamel. That is 3 1/4" wide. Then there is a smaller silver plated label that says Presented to Captain V.Vernon) W. HOWLAND. Thank You" Vern attended National Defence College in 1962. A further close look at this plaque convinced me it is made of solid rosewood, the only plaque I have ever seen that is made of such a valuable wood. This is a classy item all the way. The wood stands 6 3/16" tall and the back has a brass disc inlet into it to facilitate hanging. The rosewood is quite a hefty 3/4" thick too, the badge another 1/4" beyond that. Vern Howland was a beloved officer who was very instrumental in acquiring and restoring HMCS SACKVILLE as a museum ship in Halifax. He was a pre-war reservist with wartime active service and a post war career that saw him rise very high in the service. Breedlove C22 /R Handmade Rosewood and Spruce acoustic guitar - with case
You are looking at a beautiful handmade guitar built by the Breedlove Guitar Co. before they started to mass produce guitars. This guitar is in what I would consider"closet classic" condition. Physically it has no dents. Scratches or blemishes and looks brand new. However the owner did not keep up with proper humidification over the last year. So the guitar was very dry when I received it for sale. It has spent a week in a high humidity room and has been professionally repaired by Woodsy's music in Medina. The repair included a full setup and fret level. The guitar plays well and has been setup for light strings. This guitar features Breedloves patented floating bridge which gives it ASTOUNDING bass response. Every person that has played this guitar has commented on how amazing it sounds. Vintage Stanley 9" Try Square - Rosewood & Brass Handle
Up for auction is a vintage 9" Rosewood and Brass Handled Stanley Try Square with blued steel blade graduated in 1/8" increments on each side(0 at end of blade to the 9" point at the brass binding) Classic elaborate brass inlays on each side of the handle with cylindrical steel rivets are Stanley signature details. Even without the very faint marking under the number"1" in the last photo" STANLEY PAT 12-29-96 You might need a magnifying glass to read this marking(I did) But it indicates the probable age of this tool as over 100 years. All in all, a very well-preserved example of a classic carpenter's try square from the leading American manufacturer of tools for the carpenter and handyman for more than a century.
