Hand Crafted Northern Red Oak BLACK POWDER Ball Remover
Description This is a brand new tool that I came up with about four years ago. A friend of mine was complaining about the difficulty of removing unfired lead balls from his black powder pistol cylinder. So I made some different versions of this tool. It has a strong, smooth handle made from North American Red Oak. The slender handle will give you a firm grip and great control as you twist the screw into the lead ball. Then you can pull the ball out and reload. It comes complete with a copper ferrule to hold the screw in place. It is only 3 and 1/2 inches long, so it should easily fit in with the other tools. Penn Antique Restoration. 60"x90" Restored Antique Gothic Oak Double Entry Doors. WOW! Grand pair of antique doors salvaged from an old church in New York City. Each door has a solid pine core covered with 1/4" thick red oak veneers. Please don't think"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern furniture to disguise the inferior materials underneath; these veneers are very thick and help strengthen and stabilize the door. As well as protect it against warping. Solid oak doors would've warped a long time ago. The doors have 6 panels on each side: 2 square on top. 2 long, rectangular in the middle, and 2 square on bottom. On the front side, the panels have beautifully- carved, Gothic quadrafoils and ogee arches. On the back side, the panels are raised. Hardware: Besides the ... moremail door and cover. The doors do not come with any hardware. The stunning. Sargent" cast bronze handles and push plates shown in the photos are being offered to buyer of these doors first. We bought them from the same place we bought the doors, and even though they weren't found with the doors, they are perfect for them! Penn Antique Restoration. 56"x81" Antique Restored Carved Victorian Oak Fireplace Mantel Gorgeous. Antique, fireplace mantel salvaged from an old plantation home in Central Georgia. It is made entirely of red oak(no veneer) and dates back to the 1880's. The lower half has a fairly straightforward design with a few accents including a turned. Tapered column on each leg; a carved starburst motif above each column; and chamfered edges on both sides of each leg. The upper half has 4 shelves(2 long and 2 short) a recessed panel in the center contoured with egg and dart molding and an oval opening for a mirror; 2 turned. Tapered columns with a carved plinth block in the middle; and a lovely crown with curved ends. Glass: The original mirror had very little silvering left. So we didn't include it. The mantel will need a new mirror(flat ... moreor beveled) which we could order and install for you. If you would like a bigger mirror, we could remove the whole panel(the area in between the ornate molding) and install a rectangular mirror. Email and let us know what you would like, and we'll get you a quote. Restoration: At the point of salvage. The mantel was covered under many layers of paint, and some parts were broken or missing(mostly decorative appliqués) We acquired the mantel in pieces. This facilitated the stripping process. But made putting it back together very difficult. We reassembled the mantel using modern glue, nails, and drywall screws. We also added hardwood stiffeners to the back of the mantel. Now, it's stronger and sturdier than ever! Condition: Considering that the mantel is about 130 years old. It's in amazing condition! You will find the typical cosmetic blemishes: nicks, scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes. However, to the antique enthusiast, those are character marks not flaws. There are no structural threats(i.e. breaks, cracks, rotting, etc. Finishing: All this beauty needs now is a nice stain and/or finish. We've finished many mantels before(see last 5 photos)

Exterior is excellent condition, but one panel inside box is missing its liner(probably cloth) where glue residue remains- and some worm holes. 1895 Antique STAR Oak Red Paint Wood Butter Churn Antique 1895 Sears Roebuck 34" STAR Oak Red Paint Wood Barrel Butter Churn. Years ago butter was made by the oak barrel that was just tumbled end over end until butter formed. There are no paddles inside the barrel but since the barrel was only filled half full the cream would churn as it fell inside the barrel. The barrel was rotated between 40-80 revolutions per minute depending on size. Smaller churns would be rotated between 60 to 80 revolutions/minute and as the churns got larger the revolutions/minute could be decreased. Approaching the 40 revolutions/minute on the largest sizes. It was important not to over crank a barrel churn. The cream needed to fall from one end of the barrel to the other as it rotated. If the barrel was cranked so fast that centrifugal force held the cream ... moreat the end of the barrel the butter would not form. These butter churns sold for $2.85 in the 1896 Sears and Roebuck catalog. Butter churn measures 34" High with Base 23" Wide and 23" Deep and 55" around girth of the barrel. Condition is excellent. Antique 7 Drawer Tiger Oak Trendle Sewing Machine Cabinet With1910 Red Eye
Antique Trendle Sewing Machine 7 Drawer Tiger Oak Cabinet 1910 Singer Red Eye The cabinet is in fairly nice condition for its age. Photos show where the veneer is chipped. The two inside walls of the drawer units have loose veneer but hard to get to because of the iron work. All fancy fret work is in tact. The machine is dirty and I am unsure of the workings of it. The number is G4117170. The number dates to March 30. 1910. The trindle belt broke when I opened the top and pulled out the machine. When I turn the wheel the machine does go up and down. It is a Singer cabinet table no. 6. According to Singer, this cabinet will hold 15-30s, 66-1s, 115-1s and 127-3s. The cabinet is much more impressive then the machine.
