Antique conductor's tapered baton stick wand ebony mop bone c1880 rare
Genuine Antique Conductors Baton/stick/wand c late 1880's Europeon. Probably German. Guaranteed Antique. The tip and end is most likely ivory. It is legal to show because it is over 100 years old. It could be"ox bone" but I think not. The dots on the upper shaft are in laid mother of pearl and the silver band used for engraving is monogrammed free. The wood is ebony. The wand is 17 and 1/2 inches long. The grain in the"bone" or ivory is worth noting scan closely. There is one mop dot missing. Antique Carved Wood Elephant Family, 4 Ebony Elephants
Offered here is the group or"family" of 4 wood carved elephants. They are in very good condition with some minor flaws. We are not certain of their origin but suspect that they might originate in Ceylon or India. By comparison to others we have seen. There are no marking to indicate origin. They wood is very dense. It could possibly be lignum vitae. The large elephant stands 9" tall and weighs 7 1/2" The three smaller ones stand 6" tall and weigh 2 1/4# each. The large one is missing both tusks. One small one is missing one tusk and both eyes. The second small one is missing both tusks and one toenail. The third small one is missing both tusks.

Carved Ebony Wooden Figurine from Africa. At 28" tall this man has a very p e nsive pose and a pertruding belly. Caryying some tools on his hips along with the day's catch of fish. This is one heavy fellow! He stands on a stand that is 7" by 7" and part of the statue- in fact the wood is ONE solid piece. There are three little dots where the varnish seems to have chipped off. 2 total in this auction. 2 Ebony BLACK Glass VA SES. This pair has No maker markings found. Vases stand just over 6" tall. Both are in overall Good Vintage condition with very light use or wear. Several little surface/rub scratches. 1 vase(left one in pho tos) ha s a faint 3 ring design that encircles t he vase-noted in ph oto#3. I do not see the same faint design on the vase on the rig ht. Lots of str aw markings in the black glass. NO chips. Cracks or nicks found on either. Little roughness on handles from old mould lines. High black sheen finish. Nice clean interiors. Original ivory keys in nice condition, not chipped. Some yellowing on some keys as would be expected, have not tried anything to make them white. Some professionals prefer the feel of ivory but if you want bright white plastics, a technician can do it for less than $250 or you could do it yourself if you are handy for about $75-$100 I am told. This piano has a great tone and action and is in very nice condition as described by a professional music instructor. You will not find a better deal. 4/4 Violin Bow in very good condition with Ebony Crown Button. Maker stamp reads"WILHELM" but the rest is too faint to read. Also stamped GERMANY. Round straight stick 29.5" No cracks. Tip is solid and in very good condition. But the tip plate needs replacing(see photo) and the bow should probably be re-haired. Frog is in excellent condition. Very nice crown shape ebony button.
