Rare 198 4 Pre-Fender Guild USA Pilot SB-604"BH" near Mint Solid Flamed Maple Body& Neck with a Ebony Fretboard. It has the Top Quality Near Mint Original Guild Fitted Plush Hard Case. This is a beautiful bass. This"BH" SB-604 series bass was only made in 1983& 1984 then reintroduced in 1987& 1988 as the SB-902 with Bartolini's instead of the EMG's. Block markers on the Ebony Fretboard and straightened the headstock out from the"Hockey Stick" SB-604 style. These SB-604's and"Advanced" SB-902's were the higher end USA Pilots over the SB-602 painted body& rosewood fretboard models. It has active EMGs in the P/J configuration as the SB-602. But unlike the 602. It has a Charvel-like"hockey Stick" headstock, ebony fretboard, and solid premium Maple Tiger Striped" ... morenatural body. This bass also has a flat sawn neck. With Grover Tuners. Guild thought it appropriate to give this 604 model the unique serial number prefix‘BH’ According to available information, this model was produced in 1983 and‘84; discontinued then reintroduced and manufactured in’87 and’88 as the"Advanced" SB-902 models with the changes as mentioned above. For my personal use I strung the E string to tune counter-clockwise. I have found this helps with the angle of tension of the E string. The other stings I tuned clockwise. Up for auction is an unusual set of 6 antique eastlake drawer pulls. Instead of the normal tear drop these pulls have the brass of the handle wrapped around a double knobbed piece of wood. The handles themself swivel. The handle plate and the piece around the wood are brass. Both are stamped with eastlake designs. The handles are being offered in as found condition. The handles are in very good condition with only normal wear for there age. The handle portion of the pull is about 2 1/2" long. Epiphone 1956“Gold Top” purchased brand new by me in 2007 from Musician’s Friend. It is the ebony model(obviously) It is strung with.13 gauge strings and I am tuned down a 1/2 step(Eb) I like the sound of the heaver strings with the soap bar single coil pickups. Everything is stock just the way it came out of the box. With very little playing time all these years. I mention the string gauge because I have a demonstration video on you tube and if you want to place standard.10 or.09 gauge you will need to adjust the truss rod. The rod uses a simple hex wrench that comes in a set you can get at any dollar store. In that it is a not a vintage model, one can obtain the specs(and customer reviews) by going to the Epiphone web site as well as other pages, such as Amazon. So rather than clutter my posting with hyperbole on how this guitar is the ... morebest thing since sliced bread I have posted a demonstration of the guitar on you tube. I have no case for this, but will be able to pack securely by double boxing it. It has nice action(see the picture with the quarter) It is great looking and you will like it. Details Hello. I have a Jean DeRouge 1/2 size violin for sale. I acquired this instrument in its current condition with no knowledge of violins. Only with intentions of learning to play it. Well after a little research I found that this violin was a bit too small for my needs. The violin will come with a case. Bow, and tailpiece. It does not include strings nor a bridge. Condition As long as I have owned the violin it has never been in playing condition. Overall physically the violin seems to be in solid shape. It has a blemish where the tailpiece rest on top of the violin with some faint hair line cracks in the varnish. It is listed in for"parts or not working" because I have never heard the violin play. This is a very unusual piece I don't know anything about it. It looks like it could be ebony. It's big and chunky very tribal like.The center is almost 2 in Tall and 1 1/2 in. Wide.Circumference inside about 8 in outside about 10 in. It appears like an old pc. and it has some wear due to its age I believe. Hand-carved in Kenya in 1970. This striking, primitive Ebony Figure measures 15 3/4" high. 1 1/2" wide, and 2" front-to-back at it's deepest point. Noteworthy is that the figure"emerges" from the rough bark of the tree, which remains on the back, contrasting handsomely with the smooth sheen of the figure itself. African ebony is an extremely dense wood. So this piece is quite substantial- weighing approximately 1.5 lbs. Stunningly handsome and in excellent condition. This was an estate piece, and I was told the piece was originally from Kenya. The carving stands 5 3/4" high, and is approximately 3" across. The grain of the wood adds to the beauty of this carving.
