Quantel/Continuum Nd:Yag Laser Cap For sale- a Quantel/Continuum Nd:Yag Laser part. I don’t know exactly what to call it. In fact I don’t know for certain that it is a Quantel or a Continuum piece either since it has absolutely no markings on it. But I have bought and sold a few Quantel/Continuum pieces. And the Nd:YAG laser module in them had a cap on it just like this and the connection pins for the power supply are the same. So I feel pretty certain that it is a Quantel/Continuum piece. What I can’t say is what model it fits. They seem to have a number of Nd:YAG engines for 6, 7, 8, and 9mm rods, and that’s just what I have seen personally. Maybe there are other sizes as well. Raytheon SS-550 400 Watt Nd:YAG Industrial Laser System 1064nm
This is a 400 watt. 50 Joules max, Raytheon SS-550 laser system built in June of 1985. The Raytheon industrial lasers were the backbone of the Nd:YAG lasers in that time period. These lasers continued to perform in harsh environments when newer machines would fail under dust and temperature conditions that were barely tolerated by sealed systems. We still service these laser system and those clients that have been running them have no intention of stopping any time soon. Most lasers we see come up for sale are missing critical components, worn beyond cost affective repair or overpriced. This laser is fully functional and worth the asking price in parts alone. This laser was run at an average of 120 watts for most of it's working life. This laser was run as needed in a development capacity for the first ten years and then graduated to ... moreproduction for the next fifteen years. We have been in charge of the lasers maintenance since 1991 so anything and everything has been done to keep the laser running at or near factory specifications. The Di and water filters have been replaced every 90 days and full volume of water replaced every year. The front and rear resonator mirrors have been replaced every five years. The rod flow tube has been replaced every seven years. The gold cavity inserts have been replaced every seven years. Flash lamps and lamp flow tubes were replaced as needed. The DC power supplies were replaced six years ago. We stock spare logic boards, capacitors, coils, diodes, SCR's, pumps, rods and so on for the 400 watts Raytheon lasers from 501 to 550 series. This Raytheon was serviced every three months for the entire time it was in operation. The laser is now stored in a climate controlled area. We have the fixed optics that came with the laser. Rofin Sinar Starweld 90 (SW90) 90 Watt Nd:YAG Fiber-Optic Laser System
This Rofin StarWeld 90(SW90) Nd:YAG laser was removed from service while still running in September of 2012. The water pump was weak so it has been replaced by an OEM pump. While replacing the water bump several plastic water plumbing fittings were also replaced with brass or copper fittings. The resonator. Or laser pumping chamber, was totally replaced, O-ring seals, glass, rod, lamp mounts, gasket seals, and we even replaced the lamp insertion tool. There was a small crack in the doublet lens inside the 90 degree processing head so we replaced it with an OEM lens. The fiber optic cable shows signs of wear and tear so we purchased a new fiber optic to be installed during the next start up or installation. The old and new fiber optic cables will remain with this laser system. This SW90 was built in March of 2003 and was run in a single shift ... morefacility from September of 2003 until September of 2012. The laser requires 220 VAC 3 phase at 25 Amps for electrical service. This laser is lamp fired Nd:YAG, 1064 nm, and requires water cooling. We have the manual in hand for the laser. We have two control cables; one with hand held pendent and the other with open ended wiring for integration to a CNC, PLC or custom controls. Having the pendent works well when you have to operate the laser manually for welding, trouble shooting or testing. The connector on the back of the laser makes changing from CNC to pendent very easy. Even though this laser was running when removed from service it was not running efficiently due to all of the listed deficiencies but since the resonator, water pumping system, processing head and fiber are rebuilt or new this laser should perform at or near factory. Still in the factory boxes but is being sold as used because of no Manual and one end of one of the cables is wrong. When I purchased this in 2010. The seller had purchased a(Liquidation Lot) of laser equipment that had been liquidated. These lasers were designed as a Dental laser. The cost of this unit was $40.000.00. The Company got caught up in some fraud and was forced into bankruptcy. No Operating Manual came with the units. Also the required cabling. I did get most of all the required cabling except one of the cable ends is different from what the socket requires. The cable that connects to J3 and J15 the J3 plug side of the cable is different. In the photo. You can see both ends plugged in but the J3 side is only started and would ... morenot mate. So the cable will need to be replaced at one end. It looks like one cable needed from back of upper unit in photo and the back of the controller has a vacant jack. So this may be a needed cable. That appears to be all that is needed. These were only taken out of the boxes to photograph. I have never tried to plug in as with no Operaters Manual and the one cable end needing replaced. I also have 4 delivery fiber cable wands in the factory boxes. These have never been opened. All the required coolant lines are here. Also included is a pristine factory new Pump Chamber Module assembly that is ready to be dropped in when ever needed. Note: The pump chambers are made by Big Sky Lasers. This pump chamber unit is all set to just be dropped in. And last. 2 back up Simmer supply units to keep your Flashlamps just purring until your ready to fire. All items are new unused. Xenon High Power Ruby YAG or Dye Laser Silica Quartz Flash Lamp Tube 5in Arc
This item is a very powerful xenon gas flash lamp for a ruby or dye laser. It is optimized for fast pulses to generate more blue or UV light. The lamp is made of fused silica that passes to UVC. But doped to cut off the ozone generating wavelengths. It would be ideal for pumping a home built dye laser. The electrode ends are 1/4 inch diameter and the silica part is 5/16 inch diameter with the trigger wire as shown. The lamp has been tested and works fine, you will need a minimum of about 650V to fire this lamp. It would be an ideal match for the big scary HV capacitor I have in another listing.
